@little lord baltimore and bernbart
[Read the article: Dowd: Are (Hillary's) women necessary? ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]This is one white, middle-aged woman who wouldn't call you a traitor, Little Lord Baltimore. I'd say you have some common sense.
I, too, voted for Obama and I'm white, 47 and pissed off at the pseudo-feminism that Clinton spouts off. As Bernbart so aptly put, she's done very little in the Senate other than bid her time to run for the White House (on her husband's coattails, no less).
But that not the main reason why I am so against HRC for President:
I can't forgive her vote for the Iraq resolution. I can't forgive her inability to admit her vote was strictly for political motives.
And I can't forgive her for being an unabashed liar.
Most politicians are but HRC takes double-speak to new levels.
Obama offers another choice. I hope and pray my fellow sisters WAKE THE FUCK UP and realize that voting for Clinton is a sell-out.
And a sure way to get McCain into the White House.

In Novak's defense....
[Read the article: Single? Hand over your briny vegetables!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I think the point she was trying to make--although she said it rather poorly--is that independant women (such as myself) can ask for help from her man every now and again.
I read that same snippet on CNN.com and what I got from Novak's assertion is that many women scare away men because they act like they don't need help with anything. They've got it covered, thank you very much.
Most men (at least the ones that I've dated) like to feel needed and appreciated by their women. I think so many of us are used to doing everything ourselves, we forget to ask for help. I have been accused of that.
I don't think that Novak was saying we need to relinquish our entire lives (and decison-making) to men. That's a bit extreme.
I've noticed that Broadsheet does knee-jerk reactions sometimes.

No pickle jars to open but a broken pencil sharpener to fix
[Read the article: Single? Hand over your briny vegetables!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]All I know is that I accidentially broke my favorite electric pencil sharpener at work the other day and the first thing that came to my mind was my man.
I brought it home with me and, when he comes over this weekend, he's gonna try to fix it.
When I asked him if he could look at it, he immediately jumped to the opportunity. He likes me to appreciate and respect him but I think he especially likes it that I trust him enough to ask him to fix something I can't.
Believe me, if I could fix the damn thing, I would. But I let my man do things that I know I can't do. He likes that.
And guess what? He asks my help on things he is struggling with right now, like finances (I give him advice, NOT money).
I think the point of this article is that we independant women need to let go of control every now and again and admit to being vulnerable.
I find nothing wrong with that.

Elliot Spitzer???
[Read the article: Have I ruined my karma by sleeping with prostitutes?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Is that you?

Naked bias against Clinton??
[Read the article: Wait a minute: Iron whose shirt?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Excuse me, Kate?
When Clinton calls herself a feminist, I'm shamed.
This is a politician who rode on the coattails of her husband up the political ladder, trashed the other women her husband either assualted (Juanita Brodrick) or philandered with, voted for a needless and useless war--simply for her political survival--and has acted as a hot-tempered, "I'll do/say anything to get into the White House" candidate in an increasing divisive campaign.
Her attacks on Barack only confirm my feelings about her all along.
I am ashamed that HRC is our first real female contender for the White House.
The attacks on her, for the most part, are deserved.

Senator Boxer
[Read the article: Wait a minute: Iron whose shirt?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Senator Barbara Boxer would be my first choice.

To the HRC supporters....
[Read the article: Wait a minute: Iron whose shirt?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]She voted for the Iraq resolution. And she co-sponsored the Flag Burning Amendment (and she's a Democrat?!?!). Not two bills I supported.
I don't expect my candidate to have a perfect record but I expect some honesty when they know they have made a mistake. To this day, HRC cannot admit her vote for the Iraq 2002 resolution was a mistake.
You really think she'll get us out of Iraq? I don't.
The reason why I won't vote for HRC is because she is too much like George W. She's arrogant (like Bush), cannot admit mistakes (like Bush) and will say/do anything to achieve the highest office in the land (like Bush).
So, tell me, how is that sexist when my disdain for her matches that of my disdain for Bush?
How can any female candidate expect to be taken seriously when, under the pressure of losing, she plays the victim, cries crocidile tears before TWO primaries and then has the nerve to say she is being treated unfairly due to her gender??
My fellow women/feminists---wake UP!!!
