Original article: Bush's European disaster

A damning indictment, but...

I've read these damning indictments over and over again, and I'm filled with an increasing sense of loss, despairing that any of my fellow Americans who believe Bush and his fascist Republican cronies will ever come to their senses. Eighteen months is a long way away, and there is still time, far too much of it, for Bush to make it far, far worse. My indignation is almost spent, and therein lies the true disaster.

I HEART HUCKABEE!

And I wish stories like this would go away... for just a few more months. I really, really hope he gets the nomination. Then we can finally screw the fascist Republican party to the wall for nominating such a freak show.

Car? Couch?

I love my cats, the one that is still alive and the one that isn't. When my beloved Marquis got sick and was diagnosed with a tumor, I walked him into the vet, who promptly told me that it would cost about $2000 to deal with. Marquis had been with me for 10 years, and truly was my best friend. And, because he was my best friend, I knew that he cared for me like I cared for him... $2000 would have crippled me. Got the abscess drained, some pain killers for him, and kept him comfortable for another 8 months. And then laid him gently into the sweet night. $400 total. Yes, it's crude to list dollar figures, that difference of $1600, but it's not only money... it's my future, and the future of my family. And he was a member of my family who I know, absolutely know, understood.

I was had!

Laughing... that was great. Haven't been had in a long time.

Funniest comic in ages

Now don't get me wrong... other comics have been funny... and I definitely wish a swift recovery to BB... but that was great. Yay for the philosophical conundrums which emerge amidst the pain of existence! As long as they don't last too long!

Don't give it all to me, but send some my way!

Not completely serious (but I sure could use a second car for the family, so I really wouldn't mind), but I am serious when I agree with some of the letters.

Invest at least the first million. Real estate, CDs, government bonds, something like that. Will come in handy later on, when your parents, children, friends, or whoever needs some serious help. Or you want to retire.

Buy a nice house where you want to live, cash down, and make it even nicer. Not too nice, but just nice enough. That should set you back about half a million.

Take a million and start a business. Nothing fancy, just something that will be solid and you can make a living off of, and enjoy doing so.

You got about half a million left, so spend some on some nice things, for yourself, your friends, etc. Go on a really cool vacation (Antarctica, maybe). Stuff like that.

Just remember, however, it's not going to last. In my job, before I retire, I'm expecting to earn about $4 million over my lifetime. You're just getting a headstart.

And a Honda Fit Sport in my driveway wouldn't be unappreciated.

Kamiya writes well, but is TOTALLY wrong

You beat them. You beat them until they're dying. You take advantage of every flaw, every error, everything they do wrong and beat them again. And you keep beating them even after the election, which you keep hoping you're going to win, even if you are pretty confident that you will win.

You beat these MOFO Fascists Republicans over and over and over again, until there are no more left.

Real Republicans, the kind that were the party of Lincoln, you can be nice to. Fascist Republicans, and we all know who they are, you beat until their careers are over, until they feel like they're going to die from exhaustion, until they cry out for mercy, and you beat them some more after that.

Do I sound angry? You bet. But this is no time for being nice. Even when it comes to sarcasm.

Stop complaining, those who complain about complaining

Maybe because it's been nearly eight years, but have you so blinded yourselves to how bad it's been? How incompetently this idiot has led the country? How big the deficit is? How stupid the war on an abstract emotion has been? How F*CK*NG HORRIBLE Bush has been?

There is only one thing to do. Point, accuse, incite. And maybe something will change.

So don't tell us to stop complaining. Eight years is enough to reason to keep on complaining until that stupid idiot is gone.

So what if he was classy in the end?

He was still a scumbag in the last couple of months, increasingly so the closer it got to the election. I hope McCain just fades away now, and I hope that the moose carcass from Alaska rots the insides of the Republican party even quicker.

It was a beautiful day to wake up to. First, Obama won. Second, McCain and the Republicans lost and lost badly. I'm grateful for both.

He preempted Ugly Betty!

There were worst presidents in the history of the United States (seriously), but a big FU to this POS, and don't let the door slam you on the ass on your way out.
