Salon once again tries to steer the conventional wisdom away from what the real story is since it is not good news for Clinton and they are firmly in her camp. The big story is that she is going to loose. The big story is many powerful people in the Democratic Party who are not used to sucking it up are going to have to do just that. I hear the fat lady… while she has not started her aria; she’s in the dressing room vocalizing.
Dear Joan,
Thank you so much for letting me know about these terrible things. Why until I read your post, I hadn’t heard about any of them. I must admit, they seem rather silly and small, but I suppose every little bit of information helps doesn’t it? I am so worried that Clinton will have to respond to questions about these things, and you know Joan, it’s so sad that she is forced to answer. My goodness gracious why can’t we all just get along?
Yours Truly,
A Concerned Pizza Man
To read all of the comments here... so i do not know if this far better take on Clinton's lie has been posted already.

If you could stick your head up your ass it would be dark out.
I smell politics here. Rhodes is a comedienne. I can flinch sometimes when satirists use exaggeration and play with frames to be funny. Carlin’s comedy comes to mind. How many of us squirmed when Colbert gave his famous diatribe with Bush sitting just a few feet away from him. Yet it was brilliant. Now, calling someone a ‘fucking whore’ is definitely not brilliant, but it does have comedic president. Go listen to some Lenny Bruce tapes.
Joan, taking something said in a comedic context and using it for serious argument seems ingenuous and political to me. I certainly agree sexism against Clinton exists. It is also true that the Right Wing often uses the ‘Oh I was just joking’ justification to put out some fairly reprehensible comments. But when I saw the clip of Rhodes making the ‘fucking whore’ comment I got that she was trying to be outrageous and somehow purposely over the line. We can argue if it’s funny or not, but real satire should be uncomfortable if it’s good. It’s supposed to be.
We all know you support Clinton. Politics often takes things out of context to prove a point in ones favour. So I am not sure just how serious you are about your argument. Do you really think Rhodes thinks calling a woman a ‘fucking whore’ for real, outside of a comedic satirical context is ok? I don’t.
I agree with the former posters who postulate that Joan has pulled a bait and switch here. The two posts are completely different.
Just about all of the posters agree that Clinton faces sexism. Where’s the beef?
Joan, you do sound kinda pissed off. Did reading Paglia’s take-down of Clinton get to you… so you decided to unload on us?
Who wants to see Joan and Camille mud wrestle?
That was a joke. Now, how long will it be until someone takes it out of context and does a paste and clip to prove the sexist attitudes of some Salon posters?
"You know what, fine. I give up."
Can we get Clinton to say this?
The next time a politician comes up to you waving a flag in your face and telling you how she supports your right to bear arms… check your wallet.

From the website above:
“Just as in a magic show, the major method at work here is distraction. Human beings usually focus their attention on one thing, so if you give them anything interesting to focus on, they won't pay attention to their money and valuables.”
This is Obama’s point. The Republicans have used these issues as a distraction, and in the meantime picked our collective pockets. It’s McCain and Clinton who end up looking elitist and out of touch with this issue. Once again, Obama takes an attack and turns it into a winner, by speaking truth to power.

1) I'm not a bot.
2) I'm rather agnostic... so I don't worship anything.
3) I'm not mad at anybody, just disappointed.
4) You're a troll... go back under your bridge.
Anyway, this game will soon be over as Obama will win the nomination. All of these right-wing pretend Clinton supporters will fade away. Then they will have to go back to defending the indefensible. Oh… it will be so much fun. Enjoy yourselves while you can kids.
Who had escaped from the French Foreign Legion. The penalty was death. He spoke seven languages. I feel much safer sitting on my couch typing away. But I want to bring those kids home. They are risking death for a failed policy. And that is not a joke.
