In time...

Jeremiah was a bullfrog, he was good friend of mine.

I never understood a single word he said but I helped him drink

his wine.

He always had some mighty fine wine.

Sing it Joy to the world...all the boys and girls now,

joy to the fishies in the deep blue sea and joy to you and me.

Original article: The Democrats' God problem

The untold part of the story is....

Was Jeremiah Wright's speech set up by a Clinton supporter?

Clinton supporter set up meeting

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/2008/04/wrightsetup.html

So the other aspect of this whole interesting mess was the timing of Joan's last two columns. Everyone who reads Salon knows she is utterly in the Clinton camp. Did she get a heads up from the Clinton campaign that the good reverend was being set up to implode in front of the Press Club by another Clinton supporter? Would this count as insider journalism run amok on Salon? It doesn't seem so far fetched to me in the least. Any takers? Glenn... did you hear something around the water cooler?

Clinton operatives involved in vote suppression scandal. This one is going to be big. Felonies galore...

the archetypal scorned woman

First by Bill... now by the Democratic party.

If hell hath no fury like a woman scorned... how about a woman scorned twice? Can this explain the depths of disdain served up hot and steaming by empathetic scornees?

A troll...

without a magic ring... is indeed a rather sad thing.

It's time to sing the Return of the King. All of the stomping, and sad resorts to misinformation will not stop the parade... onward soldiers... watch them squirm and cry... as we blithely march on by.

frame THIS

Too bad the trolls are getting shriller... it used to be fun when it was somewhat tough to suss em' out... now it's fish in a barrel time since the game has been called... and they know they have a terrible hand.

It does drag down the whole level of discussion. That's too bad. There's a lot of smart people posting and I generally enjoy reading... I guess I should revel in the smell of fear and desperation wafting up off of the Troll-posts.

Where's the good analysis article on Trolls in Salon? This would be a fun topic no? How some are paid operatives... the Rush effect... how to spot a troll... Hutman a few pages back was a fun read... I'd like to get some Trolls on the record! They could be Anonymous! "MY life as a blog-troll"... I'd read it!

Then you get the real poster pretending to be a troll and exaggerating his trolliness to make fun of him. It's like Windows itself... frames within frames... on and on... How about a REAL Troll... going over the top... to pose as a real poster making fun of a Troll? And then there could be...

You heard it here...

This election is not going to be close... Obama is going to win big. There will be much shaking of heads and wringing of hands. The Democrats are going to trounce the Republicans. Big time. Hard and merciless. You have not a prayer in heaven or hell. Get ready to loose bad... real bad. Here's to the guillotine for the misspeaking talking heads!

The cool thingy... it's a WHAT?

Saw the thing last night. Now I don't want to give anything away here... the movie for me lost it's way in the last 15 minutes or so. It was a rather nice ride up until that point... and some of the self referenced jokes... Like John Hurt doing Lear's fool... were quite fun... but the audience was clearly disappointed in the ending... and ILM really fell down in some of the final special effects... one that looked like something out of an old TV episode of the original Battlestar Galactica. Maybe some of the loose ends wouldn't have mattered as much if the team had really wowed us at the end... but they just didn't.

Some major plot points simply didn't tie together... or make any sense at all... for a primer in how to make form and motivation seem really organic and still be referencing lots of other things see 'In Bruges'. For a lesson in how to let actors loose and have fun in a summer blockbuster see 'Iron Man'. Sadly... George and Steve did neither.

irrational

Any kind of compromise on Michigan and Florida would have disappointed one side or the other. They should have followed the rules they set up from the beginning, or had a re-vote. These elections are tainted. The committee had to read some tea leaves to try to do justice, and I think came as close as they could, but a re-vote would have been better.

I am concerned about the damage the Clinton campaign has done to the Obama candidacy. Some of the Clinton supporters seem almost irrational (please don't call me misogynist, some of the comments have made me recoil from the TV set) in their anger and disappointment, and are directing their vitriol directly at Obama. This is very unfortunate. I have read many comments on how Obama needs to bring some democratic women back into the fold. Even more so, Clinton needs to undo the unfortunate damage she has wrought.
