@jam

"The biggest threats to Obama winning the general election (if he's the nominee) are his rabid worshi..er, supporters."

Really? Would you say that the far right maniacs who always vote Repub have stopped them from winning elections?

@lumi

The fact is Clinton has far worse negatives than Obama. It's just a fact. The Right Wing has far more material to attack her on. The Clinton years are over. There re no makeovers on this test. It went how it went… and the time has passed. Rove can kiss my ass. Do you know what sort of negatives that little podgy twit has?

I really am impressed how Obama responds. He does a better job than Clinton does. I believe, though no one is going to have it easy, he will fare better in the General.

Cry wolf too often...

Yes lumi I agree it is sad. But if you cry wolf too often, people stop believing you eventually. I think the general electorate is ready for that message. I think the best messenger is Obama.

The country was pulled to the Right because Repubs were not afraid. Regan would stick to his guns and people respected him for that. Even if they did not agree with everything he stood for. The country was pulled to the right, and Clinton rode that conservative wave.

I think the country is ready to be pulled again. And it's not to the right.

You are spouting triangulation politics again. The sort of politics Clinton has been playing in this election, and she is loosing. You are all pulling the wrong way. Check the reality.

Believe me I was no lover of Regan’s policies.

I don’t think the huge deficit he left was good economics either.

But I do think the electorate liked him personally. They sensed he believed in his ideals. Even if some of us think they were misplaced. They respected that beyond his policies.

You can not seriously compare Bush to Regan. They are not comparable. I would argue some of Regan’s foreign policy choices were very different from what Bush’s have been. When the Lebanon disaster happened, Reagan got out. Can you envisage Bush doing that?

You don’t like Obama, for whatever reason. I think that he has this trans-party quality. I don’t think the Repubs, for all of their dirty tricks, will be able to stop him. That’s my opinion.

Salon continues the grand tradition of self-destructive Democrats

It’s getting ridiculous. Democrats always seem to find away to throw away something good. The constant and relentless Obama bashing by Salon and the Clinton campaign (they are the same thing no?) threatens to weaken what surly will be the Democratic nominee. Republicans will be able to cut and paste from your website. I must admit, that I personally am beginning to feel real anger about all of this. It is not misogynist anger at all. Just plain old disgust at the unfair, pure bias of an online magazine I used to respect.

@ june

“These are the same people who publicly support Obama and tell Clinton to step out of the race. They eat their own and charge them with being against their ideals.”

In fact it is the Clinton campaign who has been ‘eating their own’ by the unfair attacks, even going so far as promoting the Republican over a Democrat. I also would like to note your use of the word ‘people’ in your dismissive observation above. Don’t you mean fellow Democrats? Methinks you are hoisted on your own petard.

If you think Obama is Jimmy Stewart on the bridge you are the one with the cinematic fantasies.

Racist Salon

Of course... the title of this article referring to Obama ‘boys’ is coded racism.

Why not? It makes about as much sense as some of the non-examples of sexism in the article.

I don't BELIEVE it!!!!

Now Clinton throws Gore and Kerry under the bus!

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/04/13/clinton-gore-and-kerry-we_n_96452.html

Obama then says, "I think Al Gore won." to applause.

For god's sake somebody stop her! Gore got way more of the popular vote than her husband did in his first election! She really will say anything. Do anything. The Republicans are loving it. Munch munch... eat your own... munch munch.

@ Green

I am sorry that we don't come up to your standards. Let’s all try to keep our 'yelps' a little less doggish. ARF!

Original article: The rubes and the elites

Before I clicked...

So I get up this AM... make myself some coffee... go to the computer... and before I click on the Salon link I think to myself... I wonder what sort of anti-Obama nonsense Salon will have as it's lead story today? Then I smile and think... Naw don't be silly even they are not that partison. Then... surprise... disbelief... a shake of the head... have you no shame? Then I think... I can't read this anymore. It's so far over the line... just when you thought they had reached a point of no return... they go even further. Just like HRC's campaign. Sigh... sad.

Speaking of chickens… I think the Hillary Hens have aligned themselves with FOX on this one. It may be cosy for now, but the sly FOX will eat you for dinner. Cluck cluck cluck.
