Not really.
[Read the article: "It's like when 9/11 happened"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The Korean/Asian students who feel White students are staring at them and who fear some type of retaliation should recognize their own feelings for what it is -- SHAME, not fear. The students should not impugn their fellow students and they should not feel shame for what a crazy, evil fuck did.

Please do not apologize on my behalf.
[Read the article: "It's like when 9/11 happened"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]People are entitled to their feelings as long as they don't act them out. How dare you apologize on anyone's behalf but yours. Your presumptuousness nauseates me.

Ethnicity has nothing to do with murderous rage
[Read the article: Killer reflection]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Lack of poontang does. I can't help but notice that all "brilliant," "quiet," and/or "smart" killers tend to come from sexually repressed cultures or are sexually repressed themselves.

Please!
[Read the article: A McCain-Lieberman ticket?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Nothing would make my choice in the presidential election easier than having McCain choose the odious, pathetic, war-mongering, fascist troll that is Lieberman.

My two cents
[Read the article: Who's afraid of Michelle Obama?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Barack Obama is African-American in the truest sense of the term -- his mother American, his father African. He is as foreign to the Black experience as any dark-skinned immigrant. His father's family were probably never slaves, and do not harbor feelings stronger than anti-colonialism. His mother's aggressive miscegenation points at foundations in idealism and/or revolt. I can deal with all that. Michelle Obama is African-American, Black, Negro, Colored, etc. Some of her ancestors were slaves at one point or another and the memory and ancient resentments run through her veins. She would not be human if they did not. She is the one who will whisper "retribution" in Barack Obama's ear at night.

Ugh.
[Read the article: Good to the last drop]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I've had great coffee in many different countries. I do think most coffee talk is absurd. For those people who disparage "grandma's percolator," I have nothing but pity. If you did not find joy in a cup of shitty coffee, you don't know coffee and more unfortunatly, life.

I hope there is a Hell
[Read the article: Let us now praise Jesse Helms]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]As bad as Jesse was, the asshole was consistent. There is something to admire in that. Jesse was Jesse was Jesse. The people of North Carolina kept electing him to represent them. I wouldn't mind having a drink with Jesse, I sure as hell don't want to live in North Carolina.

There was so much blood spilled
[Read the article: "There was so much blood spilled"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]My sentiments go out to the survivors of this outrageous stupidity. The Georgian president acted under the false assumption that Russia is irrelevant in world events. This reminds me of the playground -- the small, well-connected, smart kid picks on the big, dumb kid until he gets his ass whupped. Such arrogance, such stupidity, such heartlessness. I hope the Geaorgian people get rid of their president and remember their place in the scheme of things.

Viva Obama
[Read the article: ¡Viva Obama!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The friction between blacks and Hispanics in western and southwestern States is negligible. I wonder how Hispanics will vote in States where blacks greatly outnumber Latinos and are part of the status quo? If Obama wants to win the Hispanic vote, he better explain how he differs from the scowling, nasty person at the MVA in Washington, DC, Newark, Detroit, etc.
