Original article: Obama's hit -- and big miss

To reinforce your antifeminism, you take a shot at Sotomajor...

...by ignoring the context of her words that the GOP and its extremist bobbleheads are trying light on fire. Then the insult to women and poetry that you couldn't find one good women poet? I don't which is worse, that you couldn't find one or your profound arrogance that you'd know one if she bit you on the ass.

Yes, but why?

It could be the start of reinventing himself as a reasonable person. Someone who could be governor of a blue state.

It's Time to Bring This Monster to His Knees

The Southern Poverty Law Center used civil lawsuits quite effectively against racists who overtly or covertly supported the KKK and like organizations.

There is no reason not to do the same to these despicable "cheerleaders" like OReilly and Hannity. The level of proof is much lower in civil action, and the cost to Fox and its nest of vipers should be debilitating. Then the same should be done to any minister and/or church that preaches this hate. Strip non-profit status, seize all assets for a victim fund, and crush them financially.

House Wingnut re-affirms what we already knew.

Sounds like spin from the bushco press office. It doesn't address the real gist of the question, that the cynical GOP embraces intelligent design bullshit, curbed stem cell, and takes the oil industry position on global warming. Too bad, the concept of this column had possibility, but now I know not to waste my precious time anymore reading it.

If If If...

If the GOP had an effective agenda to offer on economy, education and healthcare, they'd be offering it now. With the winnowing of the "troops" down to the base racists and insane Randians, good luck on broad-base appeal.

Worse yet, the straw man fear issues seem worn out. I doubt goopers could win in Alabama flogging gay marriage nowadays. I am pleased to say that the stubborn wingnut cannot have enough common sense beat into his/hers thick skull to put what is now their mainstream back on the fringe where it belongs. Bwahahaa...

Advice for Paglia

Crawl into the office of the worst editor in the world and kiss her ring. Stealing your pay for so long could only happen with Joan Walsh at the helm. You are a disgrace, and appropriately, work for one.

Original article: Heads should roll

Camille Lives on Fantasy Island

Clueless is thy name Paglia. A savvy political move, to hang the ultimate albatross around the GOP neck. Sorry it's over your head.

And as to to Obama's clumsy staff? Seems he's getting exactly what he wants, and when he wants it. Time for you to fly off to Zanzibar for the forum on misogynist women. I hear you are the keynote jabberer.

Why Salon keeps this idiot on the masthead is beyond me.

Original article: Quote of the day

Taking a cue from the WWE

It's just a wrasslin' feud. Arlen and Mikey need to kick up the brouha so Arlen can pretend to be a moderate. He does it every six years, then goes back to being a gooper stooge. Yawn...

One Question for Steele

How is kissing the royal cyst for an act of total humiliation?

Pelosi did a Disservice to Journalism

Banality. The sameness of the parroting by the McCain supporters. I heard nothing but false equivalencies, outright lies, and sophistry. Sure the non-facts were spewed with passion, these are people motivated by hatred, ignorance, and fear.

The story should be how these falsehoods are spread and perpetuated. Poor reporting, poor film making, and a sad shallowness from Pelosi in this interview.

I Don't Know Why You Are Surprised by Ambinder...

I find him to trend towards conservative and traditional in his writing and attitude. It is consistent for him to defend bushco indirectly.

Keep up the good work Glenn.

I Wonder Who They Can Get to Fill In??

Maybe a seal clubber or a whaler....

This will be like a bad Broadway Play

Imagine Godzilla and Mothra doing "The Staircase", chained to each other.

Original article: Panetta under fire already

She's nervous about being held accountable

Her collaboration with bushco borders on criminal. She wants someone she can control, hopefully she doesn't get that.

Re: Update VI

Screw Feinstein. She works her own agenda most of the time anyway..and it seldom lines up with the left or the good of the people.

Plaintiff or defendant? Which would I take?

I would take the NYT as a client and punish Iseman and her johns in the GOP. Look at her "resume", it is obvious her talent is simply honeypot lobbying. After dragging her faves through the mud for a few months, I suspect someone from the RNC will step in and jerk her leash...hard.

I had little use for Russert....

but none for Gregory. His admission that it is not his(and the General Press') responsibility to refute known lies, or to confront officials that are lying to the US condemns the traditional press to the tar pits of history. That Gregory and his ilk choose extinction rather than participating in revival of journalism is predictable.

As as "Left of Most Everyone" Voter...

Obama is on course to meet and slightly exceed my expectations. I knew there would be a lot of projection of what Obama is/was. He is fine. And he will advance more progressive agenda than any other politician could or would, including Kucinich. Why? Because he CAN, unlike wistful dreamers. He has a grasp of the possible.

Original article: Goode goes down -- maybe

This is 100 PCT an Obama coattails win.

Without a massive registration surge at UVA, Goode holds his seat. Thanks Obama and Cavs.

Monday, November 17, 2008 08:38 AM

Go for it, dude.

You've done such a great job of rehabbing your "image". I bet you can garner 30-33 pct of the vote.

Thursday, November 13, 2008 09:26 AM

This "debate" is bringing back not fond memories...

memories of another debate that missed the point. Clarence Thomas' hearings were derailed by the Anita Hill story. The issue was his fitness. He simply did not measure up to the job.

Here it's not fitness, but neither is it his campaign follies. Lieberman has worked hand in glove with bush/cheney to protect their perfidy from oversight. He has done NOTHING as chair of DHS. Free pass for the criminals. For that he must be removed.

Quayle With Breasts....

I know a self unaware bundle of ambition when I see one.

Yes Paglia thinks she's the face of post modern feminism or such horse sh*t, but I see a regional runner-up in a B-league beauty contest "eying the prize". The problem? No talent and unwilling to do the hard work.

Sarah babe, reset your goals to Fox and you will be a wealthy buffoon just like O'Reilly.
