One certainly has to admire Ms. Chaney, the daughter of the all-time Vietnam era draft dodger for saying, " 'People are uncomfortable with a president who is reluctant to defend the nation overseas.' "
Had her father served overseas to defend whatever it was that we were defending, had her father not always run to a bomb shelter during his time as VP, maybe, just maybe, we could take his daughter seriously.
Chris Cillizza became so lite-wight on the Olbermann show that we began to channel surf whenever he appeared. We felt that Chris Cillizza was part of the dumbing-down of America. And dumbing-down of "Countdown with Keith Olbermann."
We are overwhelmed by the number of things causing outrage. Health care. Roman Polanski. The death threats against our president. The screamers at "town hall" meetings. Republicans cheering that America will not host the 2016 Olympics. Conservative bloggers.
Of course feminists are outraged at Letterman. What he did was wrong. Very wrong.
We are mad at Letterman. We are also tired.
