Ah, but most women who have abortions have children or go on to have children. "Reproductive rights" are the right to choose when and if you reproduce. That's why so many pro-lifers attack birth control as well as abortion-- they want to take away all choice in the matter. (And apparently some of them want to have an uneducated, unloved, possibly criminal underclass, rather than encouraging motivated, hard-working immigrants to enter this nation of immigrants, but that's another, far more disturbing story.)

Not just the management of the Pats, most of their fans too. And Not just Pats fans for that matter. Hell, I bet a lot of people were happy to see the Colts knocked down so we don't have to hear the sports media worship at the altar of Tony Dungy and Payton Manning this year. (Now the sports media worshiping at the altar of Belachick and Brady, that's another story.)

And that's new units, not counting the used PS2s that are still for sale. Cost-cutting is fine, but they still clearly have a problem.

The Internet is full of crazy trolls, but it's also full of fun, sweet, interesting people, some of whom are going through the same issues as you are. I think, at the very least, until the matter is settled- Kraft needs to show good faith by suspending Moss.

I realize corporate ownership doesn't have to follow the American rule of "innocent until proven guilty," but I still don't think suspending someone over an allegation is the right thing to do.

I may be biased because Moss is almost the only football player I can recognize, of course.

Thrasher, Amerigo's grandfather served in Iraq. He's not Iraqi. For that matter, if Thrasher's grandfather was Iraqi, Amerigo could still (and is, I believe), fully 100% American. Did she seem to downplay the suffering of black men? I do belive that though she has focused on women, she has routinely held that if anyone is oppressed, we are all oppressed.

But you'll notice that 'women of color' don't seem to have any place at all on Steinem's axis-- or she's suggesting women of color should put their gender before their race. Either way, I'm offended.

Not a bad interview-- Koppelman gave him quite a bit of rope to hang himself with, especially on Mussolini-- but I'm still disappointed to see this hack in Salon. I also wish Goldberg had been challenged more on his odd views on sexuality-- in addition to the 'environmental condoms' bullshit, he's something of a Holocaust denier who's claimed gays were relatively safe in Nazi Germany.

People who say that their marriage provides very little benefit have never had a loved one in the hospital (and I'm glad). The word 'wife' or 'husband' delivers instant rights of visitation and the ability to make hospital decisions that no other relationship can-- no matter how many durable powers of attorney are filled out. No matter what your personal ambivalence might be, that piece of paper might well prove invaluable someday.
