  • No offense, but ...

[Read the article: Duncan Hunter on the attack]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

How is this an "attack piece"? Is Hunter lying? Hey, the guy's an asshole; so are all the rest of the GOP field. But he's not allowed to say "I think this and they think that"? Is this patty-cake? Not everyone can be Obama, seeing no evil and aping Rodney King's lament every two seconds. Edwards-Webb '08.

  • Rudy on Iran & Reagan:

[Read the article: A few early notes]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Yes. Yes. And we probably are.

  • better take Fred on now

[Read the article: What Fred Thompson means by the "rule of law"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Because he will skate to the GOP nom if he wants it, and once we go over the cliff with Hillary, say hello to a Prez Called Fred.

  • that's all?

[Read the article: What the Republicans really meant to say]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I guess Rudy's ignorance on Sunni-Shia-Iraq-Iran, and North Korea, don't matter to mouth-breathers who want another Daddy to yell at the bad guys. As long as you hate liberals and swarthy overseas types, you have a shot at the GOP nomination. He should just change like Romney has and let ythe chips fall; where they may. Republicans have no principles apart from retention of power and being rich, so why pretend?

  • just awful

[Read the article: Finale wrap-up: "The King of Queens"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

That finale ranged from laugh-free to cringeworthy. Drunks are so funny here in 1957 ... er, 2007! I hadn't watched in a while but like the reruns, but geez. Doug with the hair combed down and 50 more pounds ... not good. Divorce, babies, huge fat people ... like me and my life only not as funny. Another show of the many that went on wayyy too long.

  • Dear Elephantman:

    [Read the article: "Sicko"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

P.J. O'Rourke is an asshole. With insurance. Tangerine, 2007

  • Shocked, I tell you

[Read the article: Why did Carter back down on Bush?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

That a Democrat cowers under criticism. I like Carter; he's an honorable man; he was right about Bush; and yet, he felt the need to revert to the Mayor of Weenietown. When will my beloved party grow a permanent spine?

  • speechless

[Read the article: Compromise or compromised?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

This is as bad as it gets. Rolling over to this sociopath with his 30 percent approval as more and more die. There's really nothing to add.

  • "Even" Maureen Dowd?

[Read the article: Sarkozy and his model wife]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

What else does this vicious harpy have to write about? Al Gore, "so feminized he's almost lactating", as she wrote in 2000? The latest bullshit on Hillary and Bill? I don't give two shits about Mrs. Sarkozy, but anytime anyone mentions Dowd without spitting, it gets me angry.

  • This is discouraging

[Read the article: Barack Obama's quiet rebellion]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I wanted to like Obama, to love him even. But for God's sake, a Democrat who won't call the insurance and pharma companies the slimebuckets they are just leaves me cold. And I say that as someone who takes seven prescribed medications ... yes, I'm glad they were invented, but it doesn't change the fact that these companies will gouge the hell out of people as long as they can get away with it. I'm just not buying the 'new style of campaigning' routine. I see a political Rodney King afraid to get dirty, and no, Barack, we can't all get along. The GOP has driven this country to its knees and trying to make nice just sets you up to be Charlie Brown ... with the Republicans holding the football like Lucy.

  • The Dave Clark Five was better!

[Read the article: Why is "Sgt. Pepper" so overhyped?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

That was the argument we had in the seventh grade. Glad to see that "rock critics" ... as necessary to the discourse as the appendix is to our bodies ... haven't stopped talking to themselves.

  • all a big nothing

[Read the article: Our favorite murderer]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I was depressed at 9 pm ... worse now. You could have thrown the viewers who made you a zillionaire a bone, Chase. Isn't it bad enough Bush is President? Now, fictional characters have to get away with everything and learn nothing?

  • and that right-wing hag Carmela ...

[Read the article: Our favorite murderer]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Winds up sucking down onion rings with her loser family?

  • 'Imagine how Chase felt?"

[Read the article: "The Sopranos" goes dark]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

When he checked his bank balance built on Sopranos viewership? Pretty good I'd say. I vote asshole.

  • another egomaniac

[Read the article: Mike Bloomberg could buy the White House]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Hands the White House to the GOP. Great. The country is hardly recohnizable now; 4-8 more years of this "philosophy" and God knows what we'll be. Fred Thompson. Geezus H. Christ. Stay out of it, Bloomberg. One Nader in my lifetime was one too many.

  • Hey Calgodot:

[Read the article: Mike Bloomberg could buy the White House]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Nader got 100,000 votes in Florida. Gore "lost" by 537. If one of eVery one hundred of you purer-than-snow naifs didn't throw your vote away on that has-been closet case, there's no Bush, no Iraq. So kiss our ass.

  • Smurf:

[Read the article: Mike Bloomberg could buy the White House]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

100,000 Florida votes for Nader. Margin: 537. Give us all a break, please. That asshole cost Gore the election, and as far as there being "no difference" ... tell it to the families of our 3,600 dead.

  • Smurf:

[Read the article: Mike Bloomberg could buy the White House]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Gore blasted the very notion of Iraq in 2003. Come on ... there's no way on God's green earth that he invades Iraq, and you know it. As for your insistence that none of the 100,000 Florida Nader voters would have voted for Gore -- not even the one in each thousand that would have made the difference -- that's simply beyond absurd. They bought that egomaniac's crap about there being 'no difference' and I sure hope they sleep well at night. I guess they do, if you're any indication.

  • 'cause they're white

    [Read the article: Start believin']
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Rolling Stone of the '70s and '80s was a joke ... liberal white guilt run rampant. Any record by any black artist, from Motown to The Fantastic Johnny C doing "Boogaloo Down Broadway" -- got five stars; white acts started with a one and anyone who got a two or three had to be John Lennon.

  • With all due respect (none)

[Read the article: Don't run, Al. Don't!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Cammy, you are so completely full of shit it truly can't be fully described. Are you real, or created by The Onion? "A poll on the Drudge Report"? "Anyone who listens to talk radio"? I splutter! I hate myself for stooping to "you are full of shit," but no other phrase fits.

  • Fine and dandy, Glenn ...

[Read the article: Preordering week for "A Tragic Legacy"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

But if we nominate Certain-Loser Hillary, we have 4-8 more years of Fred Thompson. That's the only important question: how can we stop the slow-motion disaster of an HRC nomination?

  • Nerdnam:

[Read the article: "Fringe liberal bloggers"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

How about this? Getting the hell out of Iraq. Rebuilding our alliances around the world. Providing health care for everyone in the country. Developing real, sustainable renewable energy sources. Federally funding stem cell research. Enforcing existing environmental laws. Those are off the top of my head. I'm sure others will chime in. BTW, do you work for Time or CNN or Fox? Because yours is the kind of bullshit they spout off.
