  • I saw Chris at UCLA

and had come to hear Mark Harris...

and came away feeling that Harris was using atheism as an excuse to bash Islam.

I found this aspect troublesome in his book, but it was obvious that he basically is framing his argument at that all Moslems are fundamentalists, and he had his own literalist mindset.

Chris is aces with me, and I guess I am not a new atheist after all.

  • Ummm

It is so great to have a guy trying out for a job at the Washington Post writing crap for Salon...

and seeing that the rubes haven't figured out that even with frontloaded primaries and all the money, Hillary couldn't win....

Kerry was supposed to be electable, and was the nominee designate after Iowa.

In the meantime, McCain isn't raising money. Obama is attracting actual swing voters, but the mentality seems to be endemic among Salon letter writers who have never been right about anything.

Shapiro, I really hope you get a job that allows you to hang out with the kewl kids! But for now, you are just another Nedra Pickler wannabe.

Please get another job so I don't have to see your bullshit headlines anymore.

  • One would hope that

Obama would have never hired Penn...

who is a legacy of the Dick Morris years.

  • Would it be sexist to notice

[Read the article: Hey, Obama boys: Back off already!]

that Rebecca is a lightweight...and that we old school feminists who have actually studied Hillary's record know that there are plenty of reasons to doubt that Clinton has any feminist credentials to speak of....

and she isn't much of a Democrat either.

In fact the only thing she actually has going for her is that she is a women. But then again, so is Laura Bush....and it wouldn't sexist not vote for her either.

  • Whatever you do

[Read the article: Stop the mommy madness]

    it is probably wrong.

But fear not, it probably doesn't matter all that much.

I gave up on the Nurture Assumption, when it finally occurred to me, that from day one, my son was his own man, and there wasn't much I could do about it...except make sure he didn't drink bleach....or toddle into traffic.

Other than that, he does everything his own way....and a large majority of the time, he is right.

This has served him well into his adulthood, and humbled me as a person trying to be a good mother...
