As an Obama supporter, I'm glad to hear good news like this, but I'm not resting yet. I still reminded my friends, family, and co-workers to leave home on Election Day and go vote; no matter what the recent polls say. I will not truly feel relaxed until the day after when we hopefully will have determined who the winner is. It's mid-October and I'm still waiting for the October surprise. Most likely from the Republicans too if the current mood is persistent. Perhaps Bristol will be getting married? Or perhaps Osama will be making a video like what happened before the last presidental election? I'm not sure. Whatever is in store, everyone still needs to be on their feet. It's the last few miles that count too.
That excuse is pathetic and unacceptable. Any informed, educated human being who has studied American History should at least be aware of the negative stereotypes placed on various cultural and racial groups while the country became more diverse and more of a melting pot over time. Either the president and her group were all asleep during history class or they all knew exactly what they were doing. Now they are playing the dumb card in order to be excused for their behavior. No wonder voters are looking more toward Obama. With McCain supporters like this, it's easy to see why Obama continues to remain calm and cool. His rivals are just giving people excuses just to vote for him.
Your letter is awesome. I couldn't have said it any better myself. Go Obama!
I like to read the endorsements from all of the newspapers as they are some of the elegantly written and insightful articles I've ever read before in media. They list the reasons why they are for Obama in clear, concise ways and why they aren't for McCain in the same fashion. Though some of the them are clearly writing with their teeth gritting (Washington Post)they actually list reasons why are resistant. I appreciate that and, for the first time, I see and understand conservative media with their own internal conflicts as they reflect why the party they support has gone so far away from them. It's interesting reading the comments from people who disagree with the newspapers how they say that newspapers shouldn't endorse presidential candidates as they influence voters. People who say that are living under a rock if they think a newspaper can sway voters so much. The way both campaigns have run as well as the behavior of both candidates is the determine of these endorsements. I don't believe the American people are so dumb to just listen to one source of media in order to determine a vote. The stakes are too high to do that. It will be interesting to see how the rest of the American media do with their own endorsements now that the first ones have been announced, especially from the conservative media sources.
You guys are all funny today. I'm getting a good laugh at all of the republican supporters. Now the race card is coming into full blown play. Let's play another game of how low you guys can really go.
Oh Snap! She did not just say that!
What I have in my hand is the world's smallest violin. And I am playing it for all of the McCain campaign. That's how much I care about those idiots.
Everyone is having a hard time, not just you. It's just some of us are trying to keep a little hope, be a tiny bit optimistic, and working hard to try to make things better instead of spewing bitter vile like you. In these hardships, the amount of negativity being released is sure to backfire since everyone else has enough to deal with. If you are trying to get people to change their minds about McCain, perhaps put a little more positive, insightful information about him and then maybe some people will take you seriously. Perhaps that's why so many people are drawn to Obama right now (including me and he's getting my vote). Otherwise, help the rest of us try to make things a little better in U.S. Either that or calm down and get laid.
It is very clear that Jon and the Daily Show weren't taking any prisoners and were going for the jugular. And I'm glad they did and applaud them for it. I'm sick of so called "real Americans" saying that rural areas are the "real America". Alright, so what about the rest of us in "fake America"? Most of us live in "fake America" and the 9/11 attacks took place in "fake America" according to Palin and her fellow Republicans. Jon was brillant in his comments that Osama bin Laden must have attacked the wrong place if her statement was accurate. It is insulting and ignorant to say such things. As I write this comment, Palin apologizes for her statement and hopefully the other Republicans who followed her also do the same. Don't judge people by where they live and then question their patriotism. I think those people in "fake America" will show the Republicans what they really think come Election day.
