Oh Hell Yeah!

I never ever thought I would hear those words from our commander-in-chief. It says it so elegantly and logically at the same time. I love it! The man just amazes me now. I purposely kept my expectations low for his first 100 days, but whoa! He is still impressing me on his 2nd day alone. And I thought closing Gitmo was awesome, this is a giant step up. Obama, you rule!

And the Douchebags are off!

We were all waiting when the bible's absence would be bringing the house down on all of the right wing nuts. And now we have our first one! Thanks a lot Glenn Beck and right on cue too! Seriously, just let Obama work. Geez, we have so many problems I really couldn't care less. He already swore on the bible earlier, give it up wingnuts! I've tried to listen to Glenn Beck and every single time I try to take the man seriously, he comes off as a big douche.

Original article: Palin to ink book deal

I'm not buying that book

Sarah Palin and her family are not poor. They have the life in Alaska and her 7 year old daughter was pictures carrying a Louis Vuitton bag. They are definitely not poor. Also, I'm going to have to put Palin's book in the same category as Joe the Plumber's book. It's hard to imagine a woman with such awful verbal skills and limited to if any literary skills actually write a compelling book without it being major conservative propaganda to pump up the reputation of her family as well as the GOP. I'm reading Barack Obama's books right now and they are very well written and compelling to read. He is very graceful with the pen. I'd like to see Palin try doing the same, if she can.

Jedimaster is correct

Don't be so sure.

If there's one thing that Republicans know how to do, it's manipulate people. If you think that the Republican party is going to just wander in the desert doing some soul searching until it's seen the error of its ways, you're wrong. They'll keep using the divisive politics they've mastered until we've beaten them into the ground.

Remember, this is the party of Sarah Palin.

-- jedimaster

Jedimaster is right. I can't ever forget that this is the party of Sarah Palin (Republican Messiah!) Republicans are masters at manipulating people with their stupidity, but they are convincing enough that people just go for it. The Republicans aren't down and out. They are waiting for their next opportunity. Rush Limburger gave that away when he said he wants Obama to fail. Republicans are still around, lurking in the shadows.

Bungo pony summed it up

Palin is already in many ways a model of who and what Republicans are these days: Dim witted, barely educated, deeply religious/superstitious, and arrogant.

-- bungo pony

Thank you! This is exactly what the Republicans have become. Add along lack of awareness, ignorant, and just plain stupid. Clearly, they have not learned a damn thing.

Original article: Quote of the day

Laughing at poorly educated white trailer trash monkeys

When will we stop humoring the ignorant, poorly educated white trash trailer monkeys in this country, and start treating them with the contempt they deserve. Why on Earth would Barack Obama sit down with Sean Hannity to explain anything? What kind of brain dead moron thinks this suggestion is legitimate in any way shape or form? -seamus

Seamus, I can't top you there. You pretty much summed up what I think about this crazy Republican lady in the same thread of the other crazy Republican lady who said Obama is an arab to John McCain (then he yanked the microphone away from her). Clearly, this lady is a right wingnut and thinks Sean Hannity has the answers for everything (thank you baby Jesus he doesn't). What I love about Obama is that his rallies are not pre-screened so crazy Republican ladies can stroll in with no problem and carry their stupid ideas with them. Though I would have booed with the audience, I have to give Obama credit for treating these crazy Republican ladies with actual decency, like a normal human being should be treated. He calmed the audience and answered the question politely and with a touch of humor. He didn't yell or give out any sarcasm. He did as a president should, cool and professional. Republicans on capitol hill should really look at themselves when they fault others for lack of bipartisanship. They are the ones in denial and behaving like assholes.

Original article: Party on, GOP

GOP, party on and filibuster

Let them filibuster. Some good it will do if there is another report at the end of the week of how many thousands of jobs are cut and how many businesses have failed. Let them play their partisan games while the rest of the American public is suffering. Unlike the last bailout, which gave money away, this one looks like it might be promising. From reading about what Obama is trying to do to fix the economy, it's him that (in Joan's words) gaining higher ground. If Republicans keep this up for the next four years, they might get a repeat of the 2008 election.

Right wing nuts are nuts

Palin, Limberger, and WND. If these guys are all the leaders of the Conservative right, they are really screwed. Keep it up guys!

Original article: Scariest toy ever?

Lame toy

That toy is just lame. It's so limited, unattractive, and just sucks. Now, let's see a Playmobil's Gitmo! Now that's fun. All kinds of torture techniques to play with and comes with a wet piece of fabric for waterboarding. Also, I think there should be a little Dick Cheney toy to go with it since it's his playground.

Friday, February 13, 2009 09:56 AM

Lame

Alright, this goes into the "Who thought this was cool?" category. I don't see the Democratic party doing crap like this. Why does the GOP look like babies more each day? Besides, I don't see this Valentine's day gift getting anyone laid that night.
