Are you serious?

How on earth does any normal human being make such a connection? When I see donuts, all I see is tasty, sweet treats and something that adds fat to my waistline. So donuts are now formed as dead baby fetuses? Judi and the American Life League are becoming like Sarah Palin. Laughable, attention whores who shout out words with no relevance or substance. Seriously, I'm not sure the people there in D.C. during Inauguration Day (or anyone in general) are going to care about what the American Life League has to say. People there aren't exactly the W. Bush crowd and it's going to be so freaking cold, I can't imagine anything more comforting than a warm, sweet donut. I thank Judi and the American Life League for the WTF of the day. Thanks to this stunt, don't be surprised that no more people take neither one of them seriously. In the meantime, on this cold day in NYC, I think I'm in the mood for a donut...

President's Mouthpiece

Perino is the 5th Bush press secretary. The more press secretaries he's had, the less amount of talent and intelligence they've had as we go down the row. I'm not at all surprised about her Palin moment of not knowing what the Bay of Bigs, the Cuban Missise crisis, the Iraq war, history in general, and answering questions in a way that puts me to sleep (the interivew on the Daily Show was dull to me). This was her final zing in the spot light and it was a eh attempt. See ya, Perino.

Original article: Obama takes the Abe train

@Chillydogg

Hey, I'm trying to watch Obama on TV. Where is my hot dog and refreshments? A lot of us are hungry and suspcious of a nickname called Chillydogg.

American Pie

Thanks for the on sight reporting, Joan. I'm feeling the same way. I watched the concert online via HBO.com who did free live streaming. I don't usually like to watch events like this on the TV or internet, but because of all of performers, celebrities, and (admittingly) the hype I tuned in to watch. I got emotional during a few performances and just grooved to a few too. The Marian Anderson tribute performance with the Gay men's chorus shook me. To think this woman with such a magnificant voice wasn't allowed to sing because a group of racist women who called themselves the Daughters of the Revolution didn't allow her to. The tribute to our troops overseas also made my chest swell with pride and hope. I almost knew all of the songs by heart and was happy to sing along. Great concert! I think, finally, we are no longer Dick Cheney's America and thank God for that!

Everyone looked beautiful today!

And Bush and Cheney can still go fuck themselves.

They were waiting for something to go arwy...

Typical. Typical Fox News. Seamonkey is right though. If the wackjobs who think Obama isn't even a U.S. citizen can file suits then someone out there is probably doing the same thing as we speak. The funny thing is that Chief Roberts was the one who screwed up not Obama, who actually finished up the sentence. Everyone blame the chief justice now. This is silly though. We have our president. Let's get to work rebuilding the country and ignore the right wing wack jobs.

Romance

Watching the Obamas dance at the balls last night, just made me sign in envy and excitement. Although Barack was shuffling a little bit, I didn't mind. They glowed of love, romance and glamour that seemed to have vanished for such a long time now in couples. A happily married couple truly in love on the main stage is a sight to see. I loved it and wanted to dance with my boyfriend the same way. They want to make me do better and feel a little better about people and places around me. So far, it's a good start.

Claps

Looks like a good first day to me! The pay freeze surprised me, but I can understand why he did it. It definitely sends a message in acknowledging the economics of the present time. I like how he doesn't hesitate too much on dealing with issues. The decision on Gitmo was one of the first things I read this morning and it put a big smile on my face. It's easy to see why holding the Gitmo courts was the first thing Obama addressed. It's his responsibility now and Obama doesn't want his name near that unlawful prison.

Original article: But where was the Bible?

Wow...

Very easy to tell that Drudge will put whatever he can to get the conservative wing nuts to go into an uproar. I've lost a lot of patience with my conservative friends, but now I don't care. Obama is president, Chief Justice Roberts swore him in twice, and the plan to get Gitmo closed is progressing. Uh-oh, I bet the conservative right wing nuts forgot about that one. They can yell all they want while Obama continues to do this job.

Um...yeah..some advice

And YOU would know what is effective when it comes to bloody terrorists bent on death and destruction? Bull-shit lady! I will NEVER trust you liberals with my security. Never.

Want so real advice people: Stay out of tall buildings for the next 4 years.

-- serafin

That so called "real advice" doesn't really work for me since I work in Manhattan in NYC and I usually have to work in tall buildings. Miss/Mr. Serafin has had lovely conservatives in charge for the past 8 years and where has that gotten us? A lovely torture palace in Cuba, two endless wars, and the world hating our guts. Paradise right? Hate doesn't exactly discourage terrorism either. It will take a while for me to trust you conservatives for my security either. Try to deal with the next four years as best as you can, loser.

Rachel Maddow put it perfectly by saying...

Take that Torture Regime! Claps and applause for the new executive orders and yes, renditions are covered (look at the part about the secret prisons).
