Original article: The Obama list in action

A whiskey for the elephant in the back of the bar?

Looks like Obama already has a head start on the 2012 electon. Whomever his Republican rival will be will face an enormous task of catching up with him as far as technology is concerned. I think the Republicans should let their candidate know how to work a blackberry at least.

Laura Bush = Boring

I am smelling an extension of the Bush Legacy Project here. That and the woman is just boring. There really isn't anything too interesting about her and probably the only interesting things I can even remember is her doing lectures while trying to change public views on her husband. Which she isn't doing a good job of since everyone I know still hates him. I'll wait to see how reviews go, but otherwise I'm still buying Obama's books first.

Um...Joe knows that he is going into a war zone right?

I'm not too sure I'm going to believe anything Joe Smoe would report about. The guy is a list of lies. His real name is not Joe, he's not a plumber, he doesn't earn six figures, he actually owes taxes, and he talked against a tax plan that is actually designed to help him. So why should I believe anything this guy says? The guy can't do anything so he's just doing things based on his nickname to make a buck. Of course, he's going everything in the name of the "right" so he's sure to be looked at as a "real" American. The guy might be in over this head. Oh yeah. WTF is Pajama TV anyway?

Bahahaha!

Yup, that's exactly what we need right now. Good old fashioned propaganda. Listening to this idiot is like listening to W. about foreign policy. Now W. doesn't know how democracy will even survive in the country he ordered to be invaded (watch his last press conference). Oh yes...I am so going to enjoy Palin/Plumber 2012. It's fun watching idiots try to make sense of their ignorance.

Um...Melanie? What about no laws were broken?

Something about Habeas Corpus...

Original article: The perils of privilege

Affirmative action evolves

This article reminds me what Obama commented about Affirmative action last year. Affirmative action won't be about race in the near future. Instead, it will move on to class. And clearly, it's already happening.

Palin, Palin, Palin

I am laughing at all news that refers to Sarah Palin nowadays. The clips attacking the media with the HowObamaGotElected film referenced at the bottom made me giggle. People want to know how Obama got elected? Well, part of the reason is the woman right on our screens. So now she is attacking the newspaper that is trying to defend her? It is extremely scary that this woman with such lack of reasonable intelligence came so close to the presidency. (Don't you Republicans ever do that again!) The woman doesn't seem to know how to connect the dots. Everything is in black and white for her, everything is in absolutes. There is no such thing as complications or exceptions. Like the point of view of President W., everyone who is of considerable higher intelligence and thinks beyond right and wrong is "elitist." As far as she's concerned EVERYONE in media is against her. It is disheartening that intelligence is viewed as a liability instead of an accomplishment. I'm reading Obama's books in the spirit of the inauguration coming up and I'm happy to have a President who can write so elegantly and is so well-versed about such a board range of topics. If Republicans want Sarah Palin to run in 2012 the way she is now, it's not going to a smooth run for her at all. There is way too much ammo aimed at this woman and way too many people who would love to provide the weapons for the arsenal.

Dick Cheney is exactly what his first name is

A dick.

Original article: Bush says goodbye

Don't let the door hit you on the way out, Scrub

I decided to give Scrub his last 14 minutes so I listened to his speech. Not surprisingly, he used 9/11 to start his defense of his administration and legacy. Alright, I'll give him that. Then he went into Iraq and the Middle East and made it sound as if it's a complete success with democracy and peace. What? The Taliban is gone? Ha! All he needed as a Mission Accomplished poster behind him during this swan song. His legacy project tour just reminded me how much I dislike the man. Good Riddance. And Karl Rove can kiss my ass.

Original article: "Every kid gets a trophy"

Jon Stewart actually summerized it perfectly

When he was talking about Bush during his final press conference, Scrub was proud that he didn't sell his soul despite all of the problems going on. Jon had the perfect retort. "No, you didn't sell your soul, Mr. President. You sold all of ours instead."

Friday, January 16, 2009 08:55 AM

Agh

He is just being annoying until the very damn end. Scrub honors the unborn because they haven't seen the s**t that he'd done to those that are ALREADY living. Just go away, Scrub.

Friday, January 16, 2009 09:03 AM

Karl, is that a good idea?

I love how all of these good things are happening at the every end. Wow. Karl Rove wants to deliver our mail to Scrub? Anyone want to bet that good letters will be used for that lovely Bush legacy project? On the other hand, I can see letters similar to many of the posts here. Dear W. Bush: Fuck you. Saying goodbye with two simple words.
