A lot of us, including me, just want Sarah Palin to go away. Of course, that is not happening anytime soon because she just loves the media. Of course, she actually blames the Media for all the bad things that happen to her. I'm sure that Salon is a few "stinkers" in that big backet of apples called the media. Sarah Palin right now is definitely not presidential material. I thought of W instantly as soon as I thought of her for the job. If she did try to face Obama again the way she is now, she would be slaughtered, especially with the amount of material she is just giving away to her opponents. Her supporters who "just like her" are weak, but unfortunately numerous. I admit, I've put up quite the argument against people who "just like her" and their reasons for backing her are logically weak. People tell me I criticize Palin too much and that I'm too hard on her, but I refuse to accept anything less for the sake of my country. My country deserves the best so I'm going to criticize with no mercy (yes, I've done that with Obama too and he puts up a much more solid fight than Palin ever had). As I've written before, the woman is her own worst enemy. It seems like it takes her so much more effort to make intelligent conversation than the rest of us. I have a two college degrees (including one in English) and I still don't understand what she is trying to make a point at.
"I think it also showed, though, that certainly as a Washington outsider and not one to just I guess play even the campaigning media game that is played, in just repeating, perhaps, memorized lines in a, in a interview, that's not me." - Sarah Palin
What the f**k? My brain just exploded after I read that sentence. Even referring to the subject she was addressing I had to make a triple take on that sentence.
There is nothing able to stop her from talking. However, she risks overexposure and that leads to boredom. She's already boring the hell out of me. I'd rather change the channel than watch her. Palin needs to change if she is serious about running for a higher office again. If she doesn't, she's doomed and there are PLENTY of people willing to take her down (and very much will enjoy doing it too).
Oh snap! Katie did not just say that! I would love to never, ever hear from Sarah Palin for the rest of my life. But that is not happening since she loves the attention and especially the Republicans who still love her, stupid, ignorant, and all. I'll tolerate her, if only because it's just so easy to pick on supporters who "just like her." It's fun picking on people who defend a woman who says:
"I'm sure that some of my impatience showed through in that, in that interview. I think it also showed, though, that certainly as a Washington outsider and as somebody not -- not one to just, I guess, kind of play even the campaigning media game that is played in just repeating, perhaps, memorized lines in a -- in an interview, that's not me ..."
And the reaction I get is that I'm just too doggone hard on her (dangnit). And that's just one quote from a whole army of pesudo-Bushisms she spouted out of her mouth all by herself. She'll be around for awhile. Let her. The more she's in the spotlight, the more under the microscope she'll be, the more crap that comes out of her mouth. If she continues on the way she is now and doesn't change, then she is just building a whole arsenal for her opponents to use on her in the future. She thought the campaign trail was tough, the arena of public opinion can be absolutely merciless.
Right wingnuts aren't the best at it. Look at what happened to Fox's Half-hour show (yeah, I barely remembered what happened there too). Barone is just as asshole trying extend his anger to the "liberal" media about Palin and Obama getting re-elected.
Um...why should I care? There are actual really big problems out there right now (like the tanking economy). This woman gets thrown in the same pile as Sarah Palin.
God,Sarah Palin is boring. Even the current Republican governors had to stop her press conference short. She's not giving out new information, just repeating the same thing. Damn woman, take care of Alaska and your family first.
