I don't read the PD, and am not familiar with Diadiun, so your explanation helps. Of course they will get complaints, but we never hear how many there were, or how significant. ;->
I'm getting ready to write to Benjamin Marrison, the esteemed editor of the Columbus Dispatch, this fine afternoon. His weekly spiel was pretty much "No matter whose picture is bigger, supporters of the other candidate always complain!" WTF!? Apparently, size does matter.
In the meantime they get away with printing disingenuous AP turds like this:

Where the headline and first paragraph mislead:
Ex-Paxson leader denies McCain talksFormer exec doubts news reports

WASHINGTON - A former Paxson Communications president said Saturday he never met with John McCain about the Arizona senator writing letters to the Federal Communications Commission regarding the regulatory delay of a Pittsburgh TV station sale.
And Paxson's own statement is buried in one sentence at the end of the third paragraph:
But Paxson told The Washington Post in a story published Saturday that he and "probably" Iseman met with McCain on the matter several weeks before the senator sent the letters.
If one is not a careful reader, and we have any number of examples of the reading comprehension of the wingers here daily, then one would come away with the impression that such a meeting never happened.
Next up: Benji's "Inside Story" on why it's not the Dispatch's fault that photos of Obama make him look so young compared to McCain. Stay tuned!
*Some frogs can be heard clearly at one mile away.
We leave our bedroom window open in the summer so we can fall asleep to the sound of the waterfall of the pond in the back yard. One summer a bullfrog took up residence. When that bad boy let rip, it almost knocked you out of bed!
Maybe we need to send that 7-pound West African model to DC to help blow it clean?
Mine's an inner too, B.
Being the 'forward' lady that I am, if you tell me when you'll be off the NSA spying device I will be happy to call and remind you.
Ba, Ba, Nam. Keva Lam to you too. We can't make others want it, but we can keep it alive in the hopes that they will realize its importance some day.
John McCain's attempted politically motivated gaming of the public financing system is already drawing the attention of the Federal Elections Commisssion, with the chairman of the FEC firing off a letter to McCain's presidential campaign asking them to explain why, after they had been certified to become a part of the program, they believe they're able to pull out without approval.
Apparently, public campaign financing and election reform are not as fertile a field as McCain had once preached.
What is the latest on FEC nominations? I know there was a standoff due to von Spakovsky's nomination, but it appeared he gave up the ghost when the Senate adjourned in January without acting on it. How will they act on these complaints if they don't have enough acting members?
The right has had a sophisticated email system in place for some time that puts out memes such as the ones about Obama’s patriotism and connections to Muslims. (Kingston made sure he mentioned Obama’s middle name on Maher’s show.) The deceptive emails are typically written from a supposed common-sense, man-on-the-street perspective and in styles ranging from crude to plain-spoken, so it does not occur to the reader that the message actually originated from a political party operative.
...
their message machine remains in place and very effective politically, particularly with those who do not visit Glenn’s and similar websites on a daily basis.
This is a critical point. And, inevitably - in an uncontrollable spasm of misguided RWA evangelism, or whatever - the Republicans in our lives will pass them along to us, and we are offered an opportunity. To refute, to educate, to reason.
When I hit that "Reply to all" button I am taking the same opportunity as the sender to reach out and have an effect on others with my response. They won't all respond and probably most of them will disagree (that's usually why they're on the receive list in the first place), but I have at least given those who are not already too far over on the 'dark side' a little something else to think about.
More later. Time to watch 60 Minutes.

the national anthem is nothing of the sort, and proper behavior is to listen to it with your hands at your side, not fidgeting, or talking, or doing anything to distract others.
Really? Then why are there lyrics?? Personally, I like to sing along. It helps that I can carry a tune and know the lyrics. ;->

What is the right wing going to ask for next, genuflecting when we pass the White House or the Pentagon?
Wouldn't be surprised. The more we are on our knees the more they like it. That's why the fact that Obama stands on his own two feet and can throw his own punches is so disconcerting to them.
