It seems clear from his candor and his comments that O'Hanlon himself was not in on the conspiracy, even though he is a player in the imperial game. But he won't ever realize he has been played, any more than Wolf Blitzer will.
I'm not convinced of this. I think it's more likely that the conscience-ectomy that has been performed on all of these war supporters appears to have been incomplete in his case. A tiny shred seems to have been left behind and now, with Glenn's expert dissection, we have some hope of inducing further inflammation.
He's not much of a scholar if he isn't aware of the impact of his "research". He knows he's been played, hence the somewhat sheepish and sideways admissions in his interview with Glenn. I wonder how his little talk with Glenn will go over with his boss, the "Israeli-American neoconservative" who supports his research at the "left-wing" Brookings institute? Do they do performance reviews at places like that??
After going back and reading the transcript (which I should have done before commenting) I have to agree with KB4Hire. He managed to insert enough wiggle room to allow four elephants with hullahoops to shimmy through.
His conscience-ectomy is complete, he is only mildly embarrassed at having Glenn unpants him and is now arguing about whether the polka dots on his panties were red or purple.
Let it be understood by one and all that Mona and I ceased any conversation after I pointed out that a demonstration in the yard of a suicidal school administrator, instrumental in the subsequent death - was not right wingers, but actually members of a school union demonstrating for better treatment.Mona didn't do her homework, got called on it, was embarrassed, and in the manner of women everywhere, will never let it go. So be it.--Shooter242
Mona mentions that she no longer engages you in conversation, doesn't detail any specifics, then you feel the need to expand on it, then you say women can't let go......
So, Shooter, still using tampons? Or are you post-menopausal, 'cause you sure sound like you're PMSing to me.
A democratic president would never be allowed to wage preemptive warThe Serious Policy folks only believe that GOP presidents should be allowed to defend our sovereignty in preemptive, unilateral, and hegemonic ways. Look at the nonsense flung at Clinton who supported the effort to abort ethnic cleansing in Bosnia. He's not GOP so he doesn't get to wage war. The hypocrisy of this bunch along with their smug self certitude is a clear and present danger to our national welfare.
You're forgetting this letter from the PNACers to Clinton:

I think it just needs to be a war they have given prior approval to. Of course, they would then reserve the right to criticize how that war is waged, just as they have with Bush. After all, it was the right song, just the wrong dance moves, or something like that.
If Bush was EVER acceptable to Americans, and Kucinich was ever out of the mainstream, it has EVERYTHING to do with packaging and propaganda, and very little, if anything, to do with reality.-- JKP1000
Thank you JKP. I get thoroughly tired of that canard too. From Dennis' website:
Kucinich has authored and co-sponsored legislation to create a national health care system, preserve Social Security, lower the costs of prescription drugs, provide economic development through infrastructure improvements, abolish the death penalty, provide universal prekindergarten to all 3, 4, and 5 year olds, create a Department of Peace, regulate genetically engineered foods, repeal the USA PATRIOT Act, and provide tax relief to working class families.
The only people arguing against the ideas listed above are the same ones who "packaged" Bush and who also establish the Who's Who list of the Foreign Policy Community. Dennis believes in programs that help the vast majority of Americans who are struggling to make it on a day-to-day basis. He believes in prosperity for everyone not just for those who advocate endless war so they can continue to fill their pockets with their blood-soaked profits while the rest of us drown in debt.
The day of the alpha-male and his adolescent drives, and his enablers, is clearly over in a world of 6 billion people and nuclear weapons. These guys really should think about covering their little testicles and that tiny straw dangling between them. Because, if there were any justice in this world, their day would be done, and we'd *hang* them all from those little testicles.
This image has been stuck in my mind for years had_enough. It would be comical if it weren't for all the tragedy that has resulted from all this chest thumping.
Of course their 'alpha-male adolescent drives' are what is compelling them to attempt a risible
(got so carried away I hit the 'Publish my letter' button - doh!)
Of course their 'alpha-male adolescent drives' are what is compelling them in their risible attempts to respond to Glenn, which just allows him another opportunity to take the gas out of their modus operandi.
Let's allow them to keep their tiny neuticles just a bit longer. I am enjoying the joust.
The caption read(IIRC): Harry realized that he had his thong on backwards, and that it didn't matter.
It's disturbing how quickly my mind superimposed Karl Rove's face onto this suggestion. The result was, well, at the very least, severely nauseating.
I'l probably have nightmares.....
Sorry for sharing.
