Female Postitute Versus a rhetorical Male "Whore"

Mr. Koppelman:

Please give us a break. The comparison between repeated LITERAL comments about a sitting FEMALE Senator (even with semen plastered on her head) according to Glenn Beck and Rush Linmbaugh versus a rhetorical referenece to a Male Senator is hardly a case of honest and accurate equivalency, and your accusation of Grayson's and Olbermann's presumed "hypocrisy". There's a vast difference between the two when Beck and Limbaush have nothing but their usual hate mongering babbling and Grayson/Olbermann's responses to outlandish chicanery by male members of Congress. They are, in fact, Much worse than rhetoerical whores.

And you, Mr. Koppelmen know perfectly well what they are - - along with the rest of us who aren't whacked out Beck/Limbaugh hate talk sponges.

Fox "News" and "Mistakes".

Forgettaboutit. It's a PR ruse. The Fox execs are the sources of the "mistakes". Rupert issues the orders and his execs prepare the scripts that the publicity hungry bone heads and hate mongers like Beck faithfully "report" and elaborate on until nothing they say resembles any sort of truth. It doesn't matter anyway because their whacko audience who will believe anything they say.

Tough Guts, Fake Macho

Tough guy Dick Cheney is only mouth tough. When it came to serving in the military, he said he had "better thngs to do" ands dodged military service . He's a dangerous coward, a liar, and a loudmouth who doesn't realize that his stubborn and false ideology led him to foul everything up very badly. He made a horrible mess of everything he touched, especially the wars that he and his lackey, G W Bush, started in the Mideast - - and left them for Obama's to cope with. So now he's playimg the pseudo-macho ass h_ _ _ criticizing the man who inherited his disaster and mouthing off trying to justify his wrongheaded and evil reign.

The best thing for this country regarding Cheney would be for a prosecutor to find him guilty of one or more of his violations in government and send him to prison where he belongs. He can continue to be a tough guy there among some really tough guys.

I don 't know about Brooks, but he strikes me a wimp.

Final Vote on Health Care Reform Can Wait Until Early Next Year, Despitre All the Fretful Perspiration.

I'm with Jane Hamsher of firedoglake.com on the question of the fear of delay in passing the health care reform bill. The American public is strongly in favor of the reform - - INCLUDING A ROBUST PUBLIC INSURANCE OPTION - - and as they learn more about the reform measures included in the bill given more time to learn about it from the Dems, and get tired of all the right wing hype, they will leave the lying and screaming right wing behind in the dust as old worn out rhetoric.

The more time (within reason) the Dems have more chances to confront the Blue Dog Dems, twist more arms, warn Lieberman about losing his committee chairmanship (and maybe even get disinvited to the Dem caucus), and restore some of the concessions demanded by the Republicans - - the better.

Accountability from TV Commentators? No one Really Cares.

No one is viewing those Sunday AM commentary panel shows anymore, or at least not taking them seriously, so accountability is merely academic.

Yes, Kamenei is not dead, but investigative journalism is - - as dead as a door nail !

Academic

The quastion at the head of this blog is highly speculative, therefore merely academic. So the answwer is a resounding "NO".

GOP Getting Smart ?

Well ! That's the only smart thing the GOP has done in nine years !

Good !

Anything that splits the Republican "Party" into two lunatic asylum factions IS A GOOD THING. But good or bad for the Party ? Who cares ? - - So long as it keeps digging deeper into the deep hole it has dug for itself.

And we can hope that all the dire warnings from pundits, bloggers, and columnists that the Dems COULD MAYBE be in trouble in 2010, because of - - whatever. With their poll ratings below the water line, it's very hard to see how the Repubicans can climb out of that hole, nervolus and panicky media commentators notwithstanding.

Goodby Lieberman

It may be that Lieberman knows full well that his political career is already dead, as the next election will show, so he may throw non-existent caution to the winds and vote his loony tunes mentality any way he pleases at the moment. But don't count out the health care reform effort just yet. There are ways aroung the Congressional tie. The reconcilliation tactic is one example that may well have been more seriously considered by the Democrats from the start.

ACORN, the Reublican Party, and Fox "News"

This article lays out the Constitutional arguments, but the matter of ACORN and the Republican "obsession" with this fake issue is telling evidence that Fox "News" is in control of the public message of the Republican Party. With all the howling of Glenn Beck and his lunatic cohorts on Fox "News", along with the long term attacks on ACORN by Karl Rove, Rush Limbaugh, and many American corporations, these ACORN attackers have won a sort of Pyrrhic victory.

The Congress (INCLUDING, UNFORTUNATELY, MOST OF THE UNTHINKING AND GULLIBLE DEMOCRATS IN THE HOUSE !) also stupidly went along with the ruse by defunding ACORN. But they are all now facing the fact that either they must also defund Halliburton, KBR, Blackwater, and a host of other non-governmetal agencies engaging in creating havoc in the Near East at American taxpayer expense in the $millions, or face the fact that singling out ACORN is unconstitutional, embarasses them, and indicates so clearly that Fox "News" is in control of a moribund Republican Party.

Dick Cheney's Moral Bearings ? Are They Somethinmg Like Ballbearings ?

Dickey Cheney never had to worry about "Moral Bearings" of either the U S or Dick Cheney's because Dick Cheney has no moral bearings and evidently, has never had. His bearings are more like ballbearings; they roll around anywhere he wants them to go.
