I couldn't agree more with Glenn Greenwald. Democrats should look at the voting records of all democrats in Congress in the last year and any democrat with a voting record 5% more conservative than Nancy Pelosi should be identified and targeted for defeat in November by all right thinking people. They should be opposed in the Primaries. If they win their Primary they should be fought & defeated in the general election. The country is on the verge of electing the most progressive man to the White House in the history of the country. Obama, Pelosi, and Reid will not be able to force the country on the progressive path it needs needs to take to purge itself of the right wing horrors of the last generation if blue dog democrats are allowed to keep their seats and work with Right Wing Republicans to block more equal distribution of income, block national health care, block afirmative action, block support of the unions, keep the NEA from raising teacher salaries & decreasing class sizes, keep supporting free trade and globalization, keep U.S. troops in the empire business, block cuts in the military. All Blue Dog Democrats must be defeated so Obama can fulfill his destiny!!!
This was a truly great video. If the video is mocking its only because Obama has become so arrogant and out of touch that he doesn't have a clue how he really sounds to us poor bitter, gun toting, bible thumping, biggoted working class folks. And out of context?....I watched Obama make those statements in context....and even the poodle press has remarked on how over the top most of them were at the time. If anybody believes his statements are trully out of context then go find the speech they came from and judge for yourself. You will find them remarkably accurate, and if you're too lazy to go look them up for yourself...remember that Obama & the poodle press kept saying Rev Wright was taken out of context....right up to the day that Rev Wright made it 100% clear that everything was 100% in context. We can be extremely thankful that politicians with no true values or character are easy prey to overweeing pride, ambition, and incredibly swelled heads. Their are lots of reasons Obama is a scary candidate for President.....but his arrogance and contempt for the working class are at the top of my list of why I won't vote for him.
The article is absolutely right. If the democratic party were to return to the FDR model they could sweep everything. FDR truly respected the working man and wanted a new and better deal for him. FDR also believed in American's goodness and presence in the world. He watched Hitler in Europe and new the U.S. would need to help long before the American Public was ready. He as a leader. Contract that with "The Obama" today's leader of the party. He sat in Rev Wright's church and listened to anti-American hate for 20 years. Would FDR have done that? "The Obama" when he thought he was off the record called the American working class "bitter, gun toting, bible thumping, bigots. Would FDR have done that? "The Obama" now that we've won in Iraq the Obama still wants to surrender Iraq. Would FDR have done that? "The Obama" says "they are going to try and scare you because I have a funny sounding name and don't look like the Presidents on the $1 bill" FDR said "we have nothing to fear except fear itself" The Obama outed his own Grandmother as a racist and typical white person. FDR beleived in the goodness of people of all races. Hillary was much more in the mold of FDR, and the party rejected her to worship "The Obama" FDR is surely spinning in his grave over "The One we've been waiting for" Yes the party of FDR would be a winner.....but that party is deader than FDR!
The Republicans would obviously be delighted, but they don't really expect that to happen. Hillary and Bill would be very justified in laying into "The ONE" with all they have after the way he treated both of them during the primaries, and the total contempt he's continued to show to both of them. However, they are both better politicians than that. But if anyone thinks they are going to vote for "The Obama" in November, they've been taking whatever "The ONE" was taking in his younger days. What should happen at the convention is that the Super Delegates take a hard look at the train wreck "The one we have been waiting for" is about to inflict on us, and switch their votes to Hillary during the roll call. It's still not too late!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Despite being treated by "The Obama" with a steady stream of breathtaking contempt and public humilation, Hillary gave one of the best speeches of her life last night supporting him. What she showed is that Hillary Clinton should be the nominee of the party. "The Obama" arrogantly had victory in his hands had he even offerred her the VP spot, but he showed he was no John Kennedy, and spat on her instead with his 3AM text message. Well Hillary has done everything possilbe....its now up to the most inexperienced and arrogant man to ever be nominated by a major party. Good Luck, Your Oneness, you'll need it! Hillary 2012
