Saying that McCain was involved in the Keating scandal is not a smear tactic. It's hard fact.
Saying that Obama sat in Reverend Wright's church for 20 years or Ayer's living room is not a degrading comment. It's a hard fact.
George W. Bush surrounded himself after his election with advisors who were totally out of sync with the American public. As voters, we have a right to know more about the people with whom McCain and Obama have consorted and on whom they would rely if elected.
Just because these facts are true, doesn't make them "ugly", "Low" or "degrading". Would Obama go back to Wright's church if elected? That's something I need to know before I hit the voting booth.
The truth isn't always pretty but it's always relevant.
Would you say her church is more or less extreme than the one Obama attended for 20 years?

Thanks for reducing a female candidate to a sexual object. We do need more of that. In fact, let's see photo-shopped images of Obama in a snazzy codpiece and an article with a sexual analogy about his poltical experience. That would really elevate the conversation about credentials.
Ahh, I would have chosen "Fasten your seatbelts" because it was a hell of a ride.

Why is it, do you think, that older women never talk about the value of virginity?

Mr. Leonard,
When you write, "It is highly unlikely that Goolsbee was authorized specifically by the Obama campaign to offer comfort and succor to Canadians worried about Obama's discouraging NAFTA words" are you stating fact or opinion? If it's your opinion, it should say so.
It's amazing how the narrative changes when Obama gets parsed:

Dear Rebecca - I know how you feel. I was a Richardson fan. But I made a choice based on the candidates' resumes:

A president like her father, huh? How bout a president like my ex-husband?

Well behaved women seldom make history...and pundits never do.
So less than 90,000 people vote for Obama and suddenly he's our next president? We need to seriously re-evaluate our primary process. Here's one school of thought on selecting a candidate: who would you take home at the end of the evening:
