You didn't...

You didn't give your opinion of what happened in SF...those of us who couldn't be there at such an unusual event would like to know your thoughts...

Tomorrow...I would like to know the thoughts of the dishwashers and casino workers and why they are supporting Obama...I remember the scenes from the movie about Robert Kennedy's assassination and how poignant it was that the hotel staff adored him, wanted to vote for him but had such a hard time being able to do it...

Also -- are there any young people in Nevada who care about the election?

Thanks for the interesting posting about the women in California...we haven't gotten much reporting on events like that.

Obama supporters are not saying the Clintons are racists

However, many of us are becoming worried that the Clintons have decided that they want to beat Obama so badly that they will do anything to win -- including make the kinds of insinuations some blacks in South Carolina are talking about.

We are getting a bit worried...

We don't want a bloodbath. It started out that we Democrats were going to sail through the Primaries and on to victory in November. Now it looks as if the GOP is getting it together and we are starting to crash and burn.

Please, let's not!

We have two wonderful candidates, but if we tear ourselves apart now, it won't matter how good our candidate is...

the bigger picture...

To the Kiddy: Yes, you are shallow.

In general: Am I the only Democrat in the world who can like my chosen candidate (Obama) without demonizing the other candidates and threatening to hold my breath until my face turns blue -- and not vote for any other candidate than my own in the general election?

I hope these nasty comments are being made by trolls or by people who will come to their senses by next November.

The point is to elect a Democratic president. Remember? Get it together, people!

55% were first time Caucus goers in 2004

I just heard on Hardball -- tho haven't been able to fact-check it independently -- that 55% of all IA Caucus goers in 2004 were first-timers -- so maybe the Des Moines Register poll might me more "accurate" after all.

I will vote for HRC if she is the nominee but am supporting another candidate -- but wish luck to all of our great candidates. We Democrats are certainly lucky, aren't we?

BTW Jim H: Are you accusing Obama of being a Nazi? A movie Nazi?

"Tomorrow Belongs To Me" is a song from the movie Cabaret -- sung by Nazis. Are you really saying that the Obama movement is like the Nazi Movement?

You really don't mean to say that, do you?

That would be so OTT, it is beyond rational thought.

Shame on you Jim H, if that is what you mean. That is waaaayyy beyond the pale.

Running scared...but let's not get bent out of shape...

All the "non-Obama" folks seem to be running scared and getting meaner and meaner. Well, I support Obama now but I will support the Dem candidate no matter who he or she is later. And I trust all of you will too.

The point is to keep a Repub from choosing the next Supreme and starting the next preemptive war. Just for starters...

So, don't get too bent out of shape folks, cause we will probably have a nominee by the middle of February by the latest and everybody will need to kiss and make up then.

So let's not get too toxic. KK? (As my 16 year old daughter would say.)

I sent an email to the NY Times -- I will not go to their site if they hire Kristol

I told them they had just gotten me back after their stupid "Times Select" experiment but that I would go back to reading my favorite NY Times columns posted on outside web sites if they hire Kristol, whom I consider a cretinous, partisan hack and who is already on the Murdoch payroll.

I will NOT go to the NY Times site or look at any of their advertisers if they bring Kristol on board. He is toooo much. There are too many other news sites to turn to these days to support a newspaper that insults me time after time!

If others want to do the same, be my guest!

Original article: Obama's European problem

to olesage: It is Conason's shortcomings...not Obama's that upset us...

Those of us who are not happy about the article are not "upset" that Obama's "shortcomings" have been pointed out. We already know most of the shortcomings of our chosen candidate and of the other Dem candidates -- and if we did not, we would only have to read Walter Shapiro's piece on the subject in today's Salon to be reminded.

But we believe that Obama's shortcomings are minimal and that he is the BEST candidate to lead the country and win the general election next November.

Why does all of this have to be a "zero sum gain?" I took out mean stuff about Hillary from my earlier comment before I posted it because I decided it wasn't relevant. I decided I didn't need to put Hillary down to make a point about a bad column about Obama.

The anti-Obama posters might want to think about that. Come February, we Dems are going to have to pull together to fight off the GOP. I will work hard for my Party and my Democratic candidate. I hope all of you will too -- no matter how disappointed each of us may be for a little while this February.

THINK ABOUT THE ALTERNATIVE!!!!
