  • Joan, you still don't support Obama...its ok to admit it..

All this careful posting proves is that you do not support Obama, Joan. You have tried not to be toooo obvious about it but he just hasn't "made the sale" with you.

Ok, whatever. You can support any candidate you want.

But, the time has come for you to simply admit it to your readers.

Anyone else -- anyone else with your progressive credentials -- who did NOT have a dog in this fight -- would have written a posting praising Obama's speech for the magnificent, historical and breath-taking speech that it was.

It was amazing. Transforming. Transcendent. Deep. Moving...

That is what you should have written about. And what you would have, if you were not a Hillary supporter.

Just admit it and then you will be free to praise Obama for individual efforts like today.

The Hillary supporters here show an interesting aspect of human nature -- which is one of the most negative parts of "tribalism." You know your candidate has lost and you seek to demonize and demean the candidate who has defeated your candidate.

What makes this incredibly sad is that WE ARE ALL DEMOCRATS AND WE ALL WANT TO DEFEAT THE REPUBLICAN PARTY.

Have you forgotten who the enemy is? Who is torturing? Who is killing our sons and daughters in a duplicitous and disastrous war? Who is polluting our air and rivers? Who is bankrupting our country? Who is wiretapping our phones? Who is corrupting our court and justice system? Who is shredding our Constitution?

    Not Obama!

Get a grip and stop this suicidal path that will do nothing but elect McCain.

As I have said many times, I can only pray that these really nasty anti-Obama postings are from GOP trolls. Because, guys, Obama has the nomination. That is reality.

So you had better swallow your bitterness and anger, or put up with a lot more torture, corruption and war.

I expect that Hillary herself would work with Obama's campaign -- being one of his most important Surrogates -- carrying his message around the country.

The same way Senator Clinton would be one of his most important allies - perhaps becoming Senate Majority Leader.

Then Majority Leader Clinton, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and President Obama can end the war and seek to reverse all the other horrific actions taken during the last 7 years...

Unless, of course, embittered Hillary supporters vote for McCain.

McCain means: more war, more death, more torture, more corruption, more domestic spying, more loss of Constitutional rights, the loss of reproductive rights for women, the continuation of the corporate dominance of our financial system...

ShawnW is calling Obama has gone too far, even if you consider the parameters of vulgar or angry "blog posting."

I also think that accusing Obama of inciting "race wars" is beyond the pale but perhaps I am overly-sensitive.

In any case, I think referring to Obama as a pr*#k should not be allowed.

    Thank you.

  • silly...

[Read the article: The best-laid plans]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

This cutsie pie article is very silly. The author needs to get over herself -- or be a bit more honest or self-aware.

First, one-night stands are, by definition, not romantic. And, if you are fearful and self-conscious about being thought a "slut," it might give you a clue that you shouldn't continue to romanticize about having a one-night stand.

One-night stands are usually not "planned." They are generally "situational." A combination of time, place, mood, intake of liquor and chemistry.

But the bottom line is this: If a woman wants to get laid, she can get laid. Period. If she doesn't want to get laid, she doesn't get laid. Period.

I am not saying it will be a wonderful experience with a great guy -- but she will get laid if that is her goal.

I could be wrong, but is hard to believe this young woman is as naive as she portrays herself in this article.

  • @jamalmas: So are all the feminists supporting Hillary lesbians?

[Read the article: How the long primary battle helps Democrats]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

What a stupid posting. I hope you don't consider yourself a Democrat -- a Democrat wouldn't use a slur against homosexuals to hurt a Democratic candidate.

When I was working for Obama in Texas, an HRC poll worker, a fellow Latina, told me the Obama was only winning because of "those people." I asked her, "Do you mean African-Americans?" She nodded.

I told her that as far as I was concerned that she was not a Democrat or a progressive if she was a racist.

Get a freaking GRIP Hillary people!

WE WANT TO BEAT MCCAIN, END THE WAR AND INSTITUTE HEALTHCARE FOR ALL AMERICANS. Why are you trying to destroy the Party and dash our hopes for a Democratic presidency -- just because you are sore losers?

  • @piwaket Not sure whether you are "racist"

[Read the article: How the long primary battle helps Democrats]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    But you certainly are irrational.

I have no idea what point you were making...your "arguments" are all over the map.

But, when it comes down to it, if you cannot make a rational argument about why you won't vote for Obama -- it probably means you are racist.

Also, anyone who says they will vote for McCain if Hillary isn't the Dem nominee doesn't really support Hillary anyway. If you really supported Hillary, there is no way you could vote for someone who wants to continue the Bush presidency -- and the war.

Allowing McCain to win may be ok for your Master Plan of going "through some more harrowing fascism..." to achieve your "goels."

But to me, it means the possible deaths of loved ones who are soldiers.

It must be nice to be able to view politics in such a cold-blooded way. I, however, will do everything I can, to end this war sooner rather than later.

And that means making sure McCain IS NOT ELECTED!
