[Read the article: Paris goes big for Hillary Clinton]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Doesn't it occur to you that Obama's bringing new voters and people into the political process is a wonderful thing?
That this would be a great way to get past the 49/51% elections we have been having recently?
Do you really want to tell these new people to "bug off?"
What a short-sighted view. We want to grow our party!
We want to enlarge our majorities in Congress -- in places like Virginia, Ohio, Missouri, Colorado, New Mexio -- and maybe even take back some other Southern states we haven't won since before the Civil Rights era!
We want these new and returning Democrats. With them the Democratic Party can do AMAZING things for the next generation.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]I don't know which sites you visit, but I just haven't seen much of what you are talking about. But if you say you have seen it, you have seen it.
I already admitted my 21 year old son and I are having screaming matches about his saying he won't vote for Hillary in November.
But -- it is because of her tactics -- not because of HER. He doesn't like the way she is "winning.' He is an avid political activist and a die-hard Democrat. Hillary is going to have to deal with this.
That does not count the 49-50% who already have a visceral and irrational dislike of her.
If Hillary "wins" the nomination but ends up turning off a certain percentage of the strong Democrats by her tactics -- that won't be good.
I mean, I guess I could threaten to disinherit the kid or to not pay for college but that seems a bit rough!

[Read more letters about this article: Here]There you go again...
My son and -- I -- both Obama supporters, would die before we would vote for McCain, Paul or anyone else (and the ghost of my FDR Democrat Abuela would haunt me forever!).
I have a reservist brother who managed to survive one Iraq deployment and a daughter who deserves the right to control her own body!
BUT it is talk like that which may keep the less political savvy home.
I HAVE NEVER HEARD A SINGLE OBAMA SUPPORTER SAY THEY WOULD SUPPORT ANY OF THOSE CONSERVATIVE CANDIDATES.
PERIOD.
Get a grip.
And, BTW -- I haven't heard any comments about the Obama voting records I posted...

[Read the article: Paris goes big for Hillary Clinton]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]All the Obama supporters I know are Dems.
I don't have many Republican friends and my Independent friends -- who REALLY like Obama but do not support anybody yet -- have told me that they will "most likely" support Obama, depending on whether or not McCain is running.
My Independent friends and moderate and liberal Republican friends have told me they might very well vote for Obama -- they despise Bush and the war THAT much -- but they will never -- NEVER vote for Hillary.

Some data breakdowns...and interesting info...
[Read the article: Paris goes big for Hillary Clinton]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]1. Obama won the support of voters under age 45, while Clinton won among older voters. Voters under age 45 broke for Obama over Clinton 48 percent to 34 percent, while those over 45 chose Clinton over Obama 54 percent to 33 percent.
2. Hispanics made up 14 percent of Democratic caucus-goers in Nevada today, and they overwhelmingly supported Clinton. She got 64 percent support from Hispanics, while Obama got 24 percent and Edwards got 9 percent.
3. Clinton had more than twice the number of Nevada unions supporting her as either Obama or John Edwards.
4. A Hispanic Luntz focus-group member predicts that Latinos will not vote for Obama. Why? A black woman wants to know. She gets no answer
5. Hispanics went overwhelmingly - 64 - 24 - for Clinton, blacks went more overwhelmingly - 80 - 16 - for Obama. I'd say this is a vindication of the Clintons' racial polarization strategy: force Obama to be the "black" candidate and rely on some white and Latino discomfort to build up their own vote margins. Not a good strategy for the South, but great for the West and California. The Clintons have done the math.
--from andrewsullivan.com -- the Hillary folks will scream about the source -- a conservative who supports Obama -- but I fact-checked the numbers and they are correct. I chose his blog because if was written in a concise manner.
From MSNBC:
'Barack Hussein Obama' robocall
Posted: Saturday, January 19, 2008 5:24 PM by Mark Murray
Filed Under: 2008, Obama
From NBC's Andy Merten
The Obama campaign has provided NBC News with a recording of robocall that a Nevadan received. The call, first reported by the Politico, repeats the Illinois senator’s middle name, Hussein and attacks his relations with “Washington lobbyists” and “special interest groups.” It makes no mention of Clinton or Edwards.
It's unclear how many Nevadans heard it. The Politico mentions just one who did.
Here's the a full transcript of the roughly 30-second call is below: “Hi, I'm calling with some information about Barack Hussein Obama that you don't know. Barack Hussein Obama says he doesn't take money from Washington lobbyists or special interest groups, but the record is clear. He does. In fact, Barack Hussein Obama has taken millions of dollars from federal lobbying firms, Wall Street fat cats, big oil and pharmaceutical companies. It's all there on the record, the facts are clear. We just can't take a chance on Barrack Hussein Obama.”
