  • Another Victim of the Left

[Read the article: Impeach Bush for Christmas]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Why does every story I read victimize the left? Oh yeah doy, Marxist believe life is a painful struggle. I wouldn't want an anti-American ornament on my CHRISTMAS tree either.

Oh and wouldn't it be easier and more comprehensible to use words like confused over flummoxed? Another overwritten article.

  • Demolished

Wow Joan...you demolished Chris in that debate. Your "that's ridiculous" comebacks were almost as powerful and compelling as Obama's "uh, uh, uhs" when dodging the question asked about Clinton's fabricated resume. LAME, LAME and LAME.

  • Secularism

[Read the article: Impeach Bush for Christmas]

Don't fool yourself bigguns--more have died in the name of secularism than religion.

WWI, WWII, Vietnam, Korean, Stalin, Hitler, Congo, Mao, Khan, Roman Empire, etc.

What's more, the artist puts, "America cannot regain its moral leadership in the world if America cannot hold its leaders accountable for their actions at home, without accountability, a Democracy will fail."

Without God democracy will fail. It is the foundation to democracy as per Alexander Tyler.

  • Oh yeah Abagadro...

I also forgot WarGames with Matthew Broderick...that almost ended it all!

Wait...what about abortion. The fatality count keeps going up.

  • Prove that it doesn't fightthetheocracy!

It doesn't take a brainiac to figure this one out. You can use any country as a case study--France, England, the former Soviet Union. As they swing farther to the left they pay more taxes and lose more freedom. Government becomes their god.

Look at America--as we have taken God out of our schools, our courts, our civic facilities, we have lost freedoms. We are no longer, as the Declaration of Independence states, "endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights."

Example, if I were a teacher in a public school and I wanted to open each class with a non-denominational or non-Christian prayer, according to Engel v. Vitale, I could not. Even though the majority of America (82%) is Christian and would like to show a form of adoration, they are unable to.

Democracy is a form of government in which power is held by people under a free electoral system NOT by judges.

Another example, the people of California have voted in favor of Proposition 8--now lawyers and judges are disputing the will of the people. That's not democracy.

As you lose faith a God you look to government to solve the pressing issues of man. You forfeit your rights so government can take care of you.

Huh...interesting that their lives are so grand and yet they rank among the highest in suicide rates.

It was about democracy anyway dood. Read.

It's a pseudo-democracy. Known as a KINGDOM. And I wasn't just talking about Sweden, where I lived for a year btw--as well as France, Belgium and Lux for two years.

I was talking about your great examples of S. Korea and Japan too. All high in suicide.

Oh and FYI, I'm not Christian and I sure as hell ain't secularist.

  • bzzzz...

you're wrong. 98% of religious people in Belarus are Christian.

Oh and my example on school and prayer was if I were a teacher and wanted to conduct prayer. Not a student who wanted to say a private prayer. Again. Read.

  • anyway...

I've grown tired of your lies and Marxist resources. You must have taken a page directly out of Joe Biden's book of lies...or sat next to him at Katie's Diner to get your info last week.

    G'night.

  • Yawn...

You just don't read. I didn't say religion, I said prayer. God does not = religion. Prayer does not = religion. Duh.

  • 98%...

[Read the article: Impeach Bush for Christmas]

of religious people are Christian. NOT 98% of the populous.

  • Prayer

[Read the article: Impeach Bush for Christmas]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Prayer advocates the belief in a Creator not in religion. I can believe in a Supreme Being--even pray to him and not believe in the scaffolding of religion.

Funny that we can teach about Darwinism, Marxism, etc. (secularism), but not about a Deity. You guys sure are tolerant and open minded.

  • That's cool.

And I'm sorry for being argumentative. My initial point was the victimization of the topic of the article.

The Association of Religion Data Archive lists Belarus as 32% non-religious or atheist as of 2004 with a significant drop per diem.

  • By the way...

I DO think it's a disaster what religion has done in the name of God. I always though God = Love.

On the other hand, religion is not the sole source of inhumanity, wars and greed. That's man. Man = secularism.

  • Wow...

you are obtuse. I DID NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT CREATIONISM. God and evolution can co-exist.

Marxism's influence can is found in disciplines as diverse as economics, history, art, literary criticism, and sociology. German sociologist Max Weber, Frankfurt school theorists such as Theodor Adorno and Max Horkheimer, British economist Joan Robinson, German dramatist Bertolt Brecht, British literary critic Frederic Jameson, and the French historians of the Annales school have all produced work drawn from Marxist perspectives.

Don't tell me the only thing that's taught in school is the failures of Marxism. Most of the books you read in public school and college are based on Marxist perspective.
