Craig apparently is a "bottom" so to speak and just wanted to jerk a stranger off. Which is also what that other Republican was busted for, offering to pay a cop to give the cop a blow-job. Who knew they were such selfless individuals? lol.
The signal, for those who haven't figured it out, meant "here's a hand. Where's your dick?"
The bathroom was apparently a well known hot-spot and there had been multiple complaints from people using the bathroom. Considering that people into that go to web sites to find out the hot-spots and signals, that's how Craig knew where to go.
And unfortunately for him also how the cop knew.

Pretty pathetic the extent to which these hateful people turn out to be twisted, sad, lonely, even desperate.
One has to wonder how much better off they and society would be if they just got some love and acceptance a long time ago. And yet they hate themselves so much they become their own worst enemy and ensure another generation of people just like them.

Couric is a bimbo. Her reporting has been lousy and she already has an impressive record of screw-ups in a short time. Rumor is she often regrets having taken the job and knows she's no good at it. y serious News Anchor to prostitute themself that way.
She was placed for marketing reasons not journalistic accomplishment, and many people have openly said so. Must be embarrassing for her to have it publicly admitted, but she knew it coming in. For example, during her guest hosting of the Tonight Show, they cut away Leno's desk to show her legs, which she's famous for showing on the Today show. Nothing wrong with legs of course, but it's rather undignified for a supposedl
She's another step down in the long decline of for-profit news becoming tabloids. There are no shortage of incompetent male Anchors in News, but Couric is particularly unqualified and was hired for the worst of reasons.
Much like the BS fluffers.

What "consentual" (sp) are you referring to? The following is not.
when Craig tapped his foot, the officer tapped his foot back, which the officer admits is a signal of interest.
Wrong. The officer admits he knew Craig would _interpret_ it that way. However, tapping one's foot is not actually consent to anything, and is common.
Solicting sex, not having sex, is lewd and unsanitary? Really, that's your position.
Soliciting in this case refers to the stated intent to perform sex acts in the bathroom. soliciting is a crime. And no, that's not just my position, it's the position of the law.
Let's assume the signal meant hand job, even then it doesn't mean hand job in the bathroom.
Yes, that's exactly what it meant. It was common code for exactly that. And it was common practice in that bathroom, which was known to men who cruise bathrooms, which is why the police were there to begin with.
Anyways, you're being an idiot and for all I know cruise bathrooms, so this is going nowhere. Go jerk somebody off.

1) It's the conscious thought vs instinctual desire dilemma leading to total cognitive dissonance and sexual neurosis. Which is the major hangup of Christianity and Western culture overall. Christianity's has a general tenancy to freak out and declare anything they don't understand to be a sin in their whole black/white, good/evil duality. He's indoctrinated to consciously see homosexuality as a sin, sex generally as sinful, and babies via hetero sex as the only possible good outcome of an otherwise sinful act. But instinctually he's clearly gay and deeply desires hot-male-on-male contact. Which puts a crimp in the whole ultra moral aestheticism thing. lol.
2) He's totally Machiavellian, with a deep resentment against the world for persecuting him as a gay man. So, he becomes a complete cynic and nihilist, and becomes the persecutor himself so as to best escape persecution.
Or it could be some combination of both. Those things aren't rational.
Either way, this is one twisted feller.
