So when is Salon going to actually talk about Pelosi's statements?

You have only made fleeting references to her in posts like this.

Her bumbling has created a situation that the democrats could do without but you not discussing it makes me wonder why. It seems like you assume she can do no wrong and that the GOP is to blame. Is it? I personally think she's causing her own problems with her inconsistent answers on the subject. Why aren't you trying to convince me other wise?

Appreciate your work on this

Dealing with the new "I need to tell someone my opinion" era of the internet is not easy. This will help.

@Critics of this

You do realize that Salon will choose what they think is best for their own private company right? Register your disgust all you like but managing the personal attacks and trolling that people do on the internet is a constant chore. By not controlling your comments section, you leave it open to the most active people that are anything but nice to others due to the nature of the internet.

In the end, you can all read the ToS and if you don't like it, then you can choose to go elsewhere. I'm sure Salon has made the benefit-cost analysis on this decision.

Not surprising - he's not a leader

Neither is Pelosi.

Democrats really need some good leadership in the key congressional positions. These two are pretty bad and have been for some time.

Again, no alternatives from the right

I get this attitude from so many people that think, the markets will solve the problem. Really? The markets are going to solve a unnoticable climate change problem until it's too late? The markets were the reason we spend billions of dollars in protecting shipping lanes in the middle east? Oh if only the world were that simple.

This is a great start and I'm happy Obama continues to be a leader on many issues such as this.

Doesn't matter who the nominee is

They'll come after her. All part of what they do now.

She'll pass the confirmation without any issues though.

The decision is 6-1 though

That should be telling in some way. I have to read the opinion but I have a feeling there is a reason the outcome is what it is.

I personally think that a constitution of a state should not be so easily amended. This is the very type of issue that the framers of the US constitution had in mind and why they made it so hard to amend.

However, if this decision is just not in the cards according to the law, there is little you can do about it - no matter the issue. I have a feeling that this is one of those decisions. As a poster said above, Bush v. Gore is a good example. The law wasn't on the side of Gore. You can argue that the law is inadequate but that's not the responsibility of the courts to decide.

California needs to strike down the ability to change the constitution with an initiative

That is the main issue here. However, this is federalism. Run your state how you like I guess.

Someone needs to honestly shut her up

I'm sick of Palin not knowing what she is talking about beyond talking points. I know she's a woman and that for a man to give her a verbal beat down is just not something with a future in politics is going to do, but it really needs to be done.

She has no f'ing clue what she's saying and I'm tired of people thinking she actually understands anything that comes out of her mouth. This has nothing to do with gender though and that's what irks me the most - don't go after her or you are the big bully man beating up on the woman. Does actual knowledge and understanding mean anything anymore?

Who was the leader of the Democratic Party before Obama?

John Kerry? McAuliffe? Dean? Reid? Pelosi?

Sure the GOP is fragmented now but I think this is too much kicking people when they are down when Democrats have been in the same place before.

You lost before you started...

You agreed to play O'Reilly's game...but you didn't know what the game was. I don't see why you thought so hard about this. His game is so incredibly simple and you missed it so badly and to put it bluntly, now you are nothing to him or his audience. He can use you as a "left-wing nut" and invite you to the show and just tear you apart with your performance. His audience won't have any respect for you either...because you didn't know what game you were playing.

Rush, O'Reilly, Tucker Carlson, Hannity, and Beck (to some extent, he is actually not really that smart) all do the same thing. They ask loaded questions and there is no way to really win in a game like that. You got suckered into thinking he actually cares about the truth or wants "debate". How could you be so gullible? Seriously. You can't go on their shows either at all, or if you do...you go in with your own loaded questions and play by their rules or you have what happened there.

The only thing you can do is go back and beat him at his own game. Until you are ready to do that, forget it. It's not worth your time or reputation.

Who Cares?

This affair crap is not the story yet everyone keeps fawning over this garbage.

Men Cheat. Dems or Republican's it doesn't matter. No new news here.

The issue everyone should be talking about is why this clown took off without telling anyone as a GOVERNOR of a state.

This man should be impeached for his reckless abandonment of his oath as a public servant. I hope the citizens of SC stand up and have him removed from office or pressure him to leave. There is no excuse (and even this one is bad!) to leave his office like that.

Quit laughing at his emails and the sad state of affairs the GOP is in...this should be about his lack of duty to his job.

Jackass?

Sounded reasonable to me. I hate fawning over celebs by government and would have had the same opinion as Roberts.
