Original article: How wrong they were

Anything from the right after Obama won the nomination was...

...just talking points. I don't think very many, if any, believed that McCain was going to win. Perhaps a few but the arguments were all obviously to pump up the crowd or create some buzz about McCain. I think the race was over in January honestly. The only thing that had to happen was Obama to run against himself. He clearly won that and with good reason.

All the rest of that was just noise and means very little, if it ever did.

Michelle Bachman?

She won her race. And I doubt anyone is going to remember what she said on Hardball 2 years from now.

I don't think Obama wants a honeymoon

I think he knows what he's doing more than anyone I've seen run for the office. However, his mandate isn't a liberal one or a left one. You seem to recognize this while arguing against it.

The problem is, our problems are not going to be solved in one term or even 2, they will take many years and we need to have support of those ideas for many years. You don't do that by legislating from the left. You only create a pendulum that swings back to the right as they'll throw the bums out, then we are back at where we started from. We have work differently this time and Obama understands this.

Obama is a visionary in the sense that he sees a vision for the future of our country. Part of that vision is getting people to believe in it and when it's bipartisan, it's better for everyone.

Bill Richardson was a loser?

I can sorta see Bill Clinton, but Richardson?

What is this list of anyway?

Gregoire only won due to issues with King County elections

The recounts were conducted and during the third recount, they noticed a stack of ballots in the corner of the room that were never counted in the first 2. Those were all from King county, a heavily democratic county and what put her over the votes needed.

So the recount itself did not really change, the original vote totals were wrong due to missing ballots.

I don't think Franken can win if they have a good election system in Minnesota and all the ballots are in. If he actually gets ahead due to ballots still coming in, then that's a different story. But right now, it's not really promising.

Original article: Obama, be progressive!

Go big so the GOP can hit us over the head with it in 2012?

Partisanship is what is wrong with the country. Democrats need to rise above it and be *effective*. I don't care how you do it just do something that works. If you go all progressive and use this "mandate" then you risk losing everything we worked towards. You talk like we won 80% of the vote or something. We didn't.

Bush should have taught you a lesson, going partisan is not the way to be effective in government nor actually enact change in the country.

I expected something profound...

Not sure what this story was even about.

I laughed at the first 2 or so, but now it's just regurgitated unoriginal crap and what happens now adays. Just look at Youtube. Someone comes up with a good idea and everyone copies it.

If lolcats shows us anything, is that lack of originality and how pathetic our society has become. I honestly think we are seeing our reverse evolution to Idiocracy happening before our eyes.

Fun fun!

I don't know how people can continue to spew this garbage. I thought they were supposed to ask themselves WWJD?

Would Jesus be up in arms about retailers profiting from using his birth and plastering it all over the TV and inside our Sunday newspapers or would he be pissed that people aren't?

That's a toughy.

Original article: Clinton still raising money

Obama's emails do this too.

It's just a template they use.

And who cares anyway.

Why is this a story?

Gregory is a good pick

He asks the right questions and does well at it. I'm not sure why so many of you think he's a bad choice. Have you seen him at a white house press conference?

Who else can replace Russert anyway? No one. I think it's a tough job to fill and no choice will be perfect. Gregory is a pretty good one though considering who is out there to choose from.

The country is not all left wing...

Obama has to be president of everyone. Sometimes I think people forget this.

Um, makes perfect sense to me.

You need a election to be certified after all legal responses are considered. This one isn't. What would you say if it was the GOP in power and the candidate ahead by 49 votes was a republican?

I guess people are just falling into the same ol' same ol huh? We are in power so we call the shots and anyone who disagrees are whiners?

Come on Wake up. Democrats are better than this. We all need to hold ourselves to a higher standard than what we have experienced over the last 8 years. Wait till the election is certified and finalized before either of them can serve in the Senate. Just following the rules would be a start.

Original article: I Like to Watch

Wow

I can't understand how anyone would think that episode was anything but great.

There was so much new information, new twists, new directions, etc.

Is it cool to hate things people like now or something? Gesh. I've seen bad BSG episodes but this one was one of the best. What exactly did you want to see?

Problem is...

without Demand, Beck's supply wouldn't be consumed.

I think people need to worry about that as we go through the next 4 years and do all we can to refute these types of stories. It's not going to end no matter how well Obama does.
