  • Brie is cheese...

[Read the article: Bush seems to attack Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    ...and is it yummy.

In fact I think it's so good that I'm going to throw on the birkenstocks, hop in the volvo, and drive down to my Whole Foods to get some. I should grab a Latte too. Perfect Morning!

  • Just to clarify...

[Read the article: Bush seems to attack Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I don't own a volvo. I do love cheese though and brie is one of the better ones. I also like just spreading it on crackers but throwing it in with some pasta, romas, and basil and it's pretty good.

  • It's State Sponsors of Terrorism

[Read the article: Bush seems to attack Obama]

Not terrorists. Perhaps there's no distinction for some though.

Some of them don't make any sense though, but of course we don't have access to classified information. Cuba and North Korea don't have much public information to suggest they support terrorism.

  • I was watching Hardball yesterday and had to mute this part...

[Read the article: On Chris Matthews, Kevin James and baby seal clubbing]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    but I missed this! LOL

This guy is just so annoying. Everytime I get on there I have to turn down the volume, gesh. He really doesn't know what he's talking about and just another typical example of the "I have an opinion therefore I'm an expert" talk show host like Bill O'Reily and others.

Even though many of posters at Salon dislike Matthews, I always enjoy his program. Some days it's not overly great but interviews like this is why I keep watching. I'll just have to keep my finger off the mute button more :p

  • Also, I don't think it was cheap having him on

[Read the article: On Chris Matthews, Kevin James and baby seal clubbing]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Matthews doesn't call all the shots. I'm sure you know this. They have to fill the schedules with people that want to talk about subjects and that issue came up that day, I'm sure that scheduling conflicts with people more knowledgeable of the history were probably the answer. But think about it this way, if you needed an "expert" quickly, wouldn't a radio talk show host be someone to check out? Do you think if he had Rush Limbaugh on there he wouldn't know what Chamberlain did? Of course Rush has his own problems but he wouldn't make the mistake of not knowing the history of the issue. Kevin James is a hack, plain and simple. I've seen him on the show before talking about primary election issues but I doubt he'll be invited back after this. I'm sure Matthews already told this to his producer.

You can't create a perfect talk show but I think MSNBC should be given some credit. That shouting match yesterday is rare to see on MSNBC compared to FOX and somewhat with CNN. FOX is horrible with talking heads trying to get their point across through screaming at one another. Through MSNBC you can at least hear different points being discussed.

  • Eh :

[Read the article: Huckabee jokes about gun being aimed at Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I like Huckabee. He's misinformed on many political ideas (Flat tax anyone?) but I generally like the guy. This was just a bad day for his common joking personality. He does this type of stuff constantly. He just needed to think about 2 seconds longer :

  • My Grandfather passed due to this

[Read the article: Ted Kennedy has a brain tumor]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

This is not a good revelation. My grandfather had the same type of seizure as well and he lived about 6 months after that, following surgery. He was also very livid and outgoing for about 5 months of that time too. So this sounds very familiar to me :

I hope he can beat this. He's a great senator and a fighter.

  • These details don't matter

[Read the article: Joe Klein exposes McCain's ignorance on Iran]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

As many of the posters here have indicated, who's in power doesn't mean anything. Amandenajad is a figure head to connect our opinion of Iran to. That's what most Americans will know. A good amount of them don't know where it is on a map let alone the details of the countries foreign policy. It simply doesn't matter.

The real story here is how people like Koppelman are getting caught up in "stories" like this one that means nothing to regular people. Sure, I find it interesting that McCain doesn't know or doesn't want to admit he knows, but this is the same type of democratic elitist attitude we had in 2000 and 2004 towards those "idiots" who elected Bush. Quit sifting through the details at this level. They DO NOT MATTER to who voters will support or not. All stuff like this does is validate the left-blog community's idea that they are "right" and fuels the same type of arrogance they complain about.

  • Bitter?

[Read the article: Division in Democratic ranks?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Just seems like either side would rather the other side fail miserably rather than have a good person in the White House. I just don't get it.

Although, I think after this is over, the general will sew up any issues. This is just primary crap right now.

[Read the article: Obama: "We have returned to Iowa with a majority of delegates"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Yeah, I know. It's crazy that in the general election someone gets 49% of the vote in Missouri but gets 0 electoral votes! The outrage!

My point is no system is perfect. They knew the rules going in and Hillary's campaign said early on it was "about delegate" and that the Michigan and Florida primaries "won't count for anything". Crying about why the rules or the system aren't working in your favor makes you look like a sore loser that can't get your way. Plain and simple.

On topic, I wish Obama didn't take the prospective nominee route and basically cede Kentucky and West Virginia to Hillary. (By the way, not sure why Hillary supporters are touting this as some hard fought battle, she had these states in the bag long ago but spin is spin I guess) I wish he could have fought to make it a bit closer though. However, I'm sure the campaign had data that told them not to bother. Maybe spending 30 million in a state for 2% of the vote didn't seem worth it when it wasn't going to change the fact he will be the nominee anyway. Although, they've done really well so far, so I'm sure that they know what they are doing and I'll trust their judgment.
