The issue here is not Obama's experience
[Read the article: Obama camp targets Clinton experience claims]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]but Hillary's. Obama has not touted that he is the most experienced to be president. He has not made it a central theme of his campaign. Hillary has.
When you make a statement such as this, you better be able to back it up. Even taking into account her rebuttal, she is claiming experience where she never really had to make a decision that meant anything of substance. I read George Mitchell's book on the Good Friday accords and there is not one mention of Hillary in it. There is however, several references to Bill Clinton.
I'm extremely happy someone finally brought out this facade from her campaign because frankly, I was getting rather tired of it. It reminded me of the Bush campaigns where if you say it, it must be true.

Anyone else just not care?
[Read the article: New York Gov. Spitzer resigns]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Yea sure, what a tool. What a freaking tool. Good job blowing your life on sex and great job making your wife have to live through this crap.
But beyond this, is this really big news? I'm really not that interested. I guess the press is just so over the top crazy about this story because there isn't anything new to report on but honestly?
I dunno, maybe I'm not getting it.
-
What will it change if they acknowledge it?
[Read the article: Report? What report?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]We all know this. Even people who supported the invasion know this but they just don't care.
Will it have an effect on political decisions to go to war? I doubt it. Gulf of Tonkin anyone?
-
I didn't really care about this until...
[Read the article: Ferraro resigns from Clinton campaign]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]she said she was "being discriminated against because she was white, how about that?" and how everyone called her a "racist".
To me, that type of arrogance is just plain stupid. No one called you a racist, quit playing the victim. You screwed up, take credit for what you said.
-
It's interesting
[Read the article: Geraldine Ferraro still needs to apologize]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I'm not an Obama supporter because I long for some great day when I can, as a white man, see the a black man in the White House. I don't pity him or believe that he needs his chance or anything remotely close.
I support him because of what he stands for, his message, and yes - his accomplishments. I wouldn't care if he were white or any other color. He has sold me. You can say what you want about any other candidate, but Obama has me convinced he is the best candidate for the job. The other candidates have not. It is actually, really simple.

You haven't read it?
[Read the article: Clinton "very glad" Obama gave speech]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I had the speech in 2 seconds from 15 different sources. Her aides can't get her a copy? This is the internet age. It's not difficult to get that type of information. I'm sure it was emailed to every campaign staffer's blackberry within seconds of it being over.
Sorry, but bad call. You should have had a response read or at least been able to comment on it other than your own interpretation of something you haven't read.
I'm just dumbfounded by the fact she couldn't get a copy of such an important - even if only newsworthy, speech by her opponent.

Obama's Grandmother
[Read the article: Clinton "very glad" Obama gave speech]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]When I read this, I said to myself...is he talking about my grandmother? I had this same exact experience when growing up. She lived in Toledo Ohio where there is a large black population. She would routinely use the word "nigger" to refer to anyone that was black and she didn't care one way or the other.
How do you respond to that? I can say grandma, that's not nice - please don't say that. But should I have her resign from my family? Of course not. This is what is at the heart of the issue. We all have these prejudices in some magnitude and it is not going to go away over night. Slowly but surely we are getting there but we are not anywhere close.
I think Obama hit the nail on the head with this speech and its honesty is something I'm very glad to see from a politician running for president.

I agree Xrandadu
[Read the article: Michigan revote "dead"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I can't believe she is going on about this like she is fighting for people's right to vote. She thought this would be over after Super Tuesday.
I can't believe no one else is talking about the convenience of her "fight" for disenfranchisement. I just don't see how this can be spun by anyone.
She DID NOT CARE before Super Tuesday.

This is getting old <sigh>
[Read the article: Clinton camp goes on offense against Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Every day we have to see garbage like this? After she wins PA it'll be even more of this? Come on.
The accusation that he's actually responsible for "disenfranchising" voters is just over the top. Or under the bottom depending how you want to look at it.
-
My concern is this.
[Read the article: "Clinton will not be able to win the nomination"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]If/when Clinton wins PA, she'll get a renewed sense of "momentum" and then move on. It won't matter what everything else looks like. This is my problem, because she'll go to the convention then. No reason not to. All along the way she'll tear up Obama and try to claw her way into the nomination.
What I would like to see her do is run a pre-wisconsin campaign for the rest of the race. Tear up John McCain and the GOP. Put the focus back on them. REALIZE your chances of winning are now all but gone without a MI/FL re-vote and go back to a clean campaign.
This is better for Clinton, better for the nominee (Obama), better for the party, and better for November.

@ Polls
[Read the article: "Clinton will not be able to win the nomination"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Remember that tracking polls are much more volatile and are a smaller sample size.
Regular polls are done over longer periods with a larger sample size.
Anyway, without 10points or more the polls aren't really telling much right now. imo

@cabick
[Read the article: "Clinton will not be able to win the nomination"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Yep, I agree. Happened every time the media pronounced her done. Maybe that's why they are keeping quiet on this idea this time :p
