Energy Bill
[Read the article: Mr. Penn, pot and kettle called]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I know people want to think that Cheney came up with this boon to the Oil industry for his energy bill, but that's not true. There were many positive things in that bill and to vote against it just because Cheney did it in secret isn't sufficient.
Obama actually is able to look at the reality of the situation and let people argue the points of the debate rather than vote with the "anti" whatever crowd.
We must make changes in energy policy, but not working with the people you need to pass it is not only foolish, it's never going to get anything done to advance democratic positions.

I've worked on a campaign with SEIU support
[Read the article: Obama picks up labor endorsements]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]If any union matters anymore it's this one. They are very organized and they do vote and support a candidate as a block.
The effect to Obama might not be seen because of his great ground work, but it will be a plus. I think it's more important that Hillary didn't get this endorsement rather than Obama got it. If she did, it would have been a HUGE boost for her.

Bias
[Read the article: Bowling for votes in Wisconsin]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Wait a second, all last month people were complaining that every article from Salon.com was all Clinton. I'm confused...
..or not and I realize that people will just search for whatever they can to make their candidate look better than the other.
Seriously, give it up. It's getting old.
-
Gee, I haven't seen much lately.
[Read the article: Oscar, are you listening?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Totally agree with you though on Superbad. It really was that bad. Complete waste of 2 hours.
3:10 to Yuma was pretty good.
I just haven't been impressed with movies lately. They are all just rehash of the same crap last year. They probably always have been and maybe this is the first year I've noticed :p
-
She's grasping for anything now
[Read the article: The "plagiarism" problem]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]How many reasons does Hillary want to give me not to support her?
This is pathetic no matter how you want to spin it.
-
Wait, clear about Obama's intentions?
[Read the article: Forget the superdelegates]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]You are the ones that started this issue with talk of switching pledged delegates.
What the hell?

Hillary is done but...
[Read the article: Calls come in for Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]...she still has money and she'll play till March 4th. She'll probably lose anyway but I think tonights win is a big deal. I was actually fearing a Clinton win or it to be very close. She lost by 17%. 17? Seriously, how do you think you are going to win any other state with that type of showing in a strong mid-west state like Wisconsin?
It's sad that all the media have to play the game, but I think they all know she's done with. Everyone else knows it too, even a good part of her supporters. Time to move on and not drag this out anymore. She will look excellent if she concedes after March 4th. If she fights all the way, she'll lose any chance of being a potential party leader. I think she should go home and just kick ass in the Senate. Her potential there for democrats is greater than if she was in the White House.
-
Yeah, she's done
[Read the article: A bleak outlook for Hillary Clinton]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]She can drag it out but all she does by doing that is discredit her reputation, which could be very useful in the Senate for many years to come if she bows out soon.
I watched the results in Wisconsin with fear that it was going to be close but it was 17points. That's a blowout. How can she win with the polls in Texas even and Ohio tightening? She can't.
It's time to throw in the towel. Deep down, everyone knows it.
-
It's a problem though
[Read the article: "Name some of Barack Obama's legislative accomplishments ... if you can" ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Those people standing up for him need to know his record. He did this to the governor of Wisconsin the other night and the only thing he answered with was Ethics reform.
I agree, Hillary's record is also a problem. She talks like she's done all this stuff but I can't think of anything other than being first lady in a AR and in the White House.
But before Obama and his supporters can use the line "what are Hillary's accomplishments", they need to answer the question themselves.
The sad thing here is that this is a huge issue that Clinton has gotten the jump on. You think McCain won't do the same? They need to do some quick damage control on this before it's a tit for tat in the media, which it will be very soon.
-
Well, it's not really simple to figure out a record
[Read the article: Clinton: "This campaign goes on"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The senate has a lot of back door work, a lot of committee work and subcommittee. You can sponsor bills, but you can also co-sponsor them. Then you can work on getting support for a bill, etc.
So "legislative accomplishments" isn't the whole story of how effective a senator is. You could really did down deep on something like this.
Hillary's record is also the same but you'd have to compare both together. The issue is, that when someone like Chris Matthews asks someone that question about your candidate's record, you need to support it. Matthews asked a perfectly legit question, however when the guest tried to deflect it to Hillary (which is also fair) the other 2 jumped right back on him though :p
Anyway, there needs to be some damage control done on that.

Obama hasn't missed more votes
[Read the article: "Name some of Barack Obama's legislative accomplishments ... if you can" ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]People just want to believe whatever fits their own Bias. He's missed a lot of votes while campaigning for president. They all do. Being that he's only been in the Senate for 4 years, his record is skewed because of it. Hillary's is pretty much the same in the last year.
All of you that are telling people to look in the internet are missing one important thing. Most people don't do that. You think those voters in Texas and Ohio are digging through the internet to answer this question? No they aren't and they won't either.
Obama needs to mention his accomplishments in a speech that is truthful, yet short enough to not lose the attention and energy of his speech. This is what matters and what he needs to do. Telling people to go look up his record is pointless.
