@ Timothy3 on Farragut "shower [ing] us with his golden insights . . ."

He said "golden" and "shower" heh, heh, heh, (h/t Beavis and Butthead). I wouldn't be shocked at all if the farragut and zoltan type trolls et al rolled like that. It's always those "suspended from the ceiling wet suit wearing dildo in the a** found dead in their living room type conservatives" that are the sickest freaks. But being a true humanist I say if it's consensual between adults, live and let live--but OMG eeewwwww. I've always wondered if folks who roll with [in] the urine have to lay down like a square yard or two of 10 mil visqueen before they get their freak on. Like I said--OMG eeeewww.

But the true freak colors of the radical right wing have yet to fly. They're nervous nellies now that certain degrees of change are imminent. They're losing control of the narrative and when they lose complete control of that, their little houses of cards constructed of propoganda comes a fluttering down. That's when they'll be dangerous and start resorting to domestic violence. It's what they know and love best--rampant joblessness, misdirected anger, old christian conservative whitey losing his seat at the head of the feeding trough, Limbaugh (the nitwit's messiah) dying because his big fat scelrotic opium damaged heart explodes on air casting the conservative masses adrift jacked up on Viagra and brandishing guns looking for a few "radicals" and "immigrants" . . . the shit will definitely hit the fan then. Clearly their mentality is our way, the status quo, or we bring the whole thing crashing down--their about 2/3 of the way there already economically speaking. Their salivating at the prospect of plantations and sharecropping making a big big comeback.

@ Derbig . . .

Sorry to hear your "Titleist" quip was referencing a serious glandular problem. Hang in there and best wishes with any upcoming procedures. As long as the don't botch it--taking just your ability to spit rather than your wit--I'm sure I can speak for most around here that would look forward to your complete recovery and future contributions on UT.

I try not to worry too much about the righties propensity for violence because usually they're too drunk to shoot straight at 60 mph from the backs of their pickups. It's when they resort to explosives I get nervous.

Is it bigotry . . .

to dislike Zoltan intensely because he's an ignorant annoying nuisance?

Hey Zoltan--by you're brilliant logic anyone who doesn't believe the best model of human political organization to be theocratic homelands for every (formerly oppressed) religious sect on the planet, is a bigot.

Maybe if all of you "dark ages" believers (of whatever stripe) of a magical man in the sky would grow out of your infantile internecine exclusionary struggles to prove who has the more irrational belief system (or simply keep it to yourself as a personal matter), who are his most favoritist bestest most chosenest people, and whose beliefs are the "only true" way to that magical eternal existence in the sky, maybe you'd stop providing the perfect cover for the power seekers and the war mongers.

Why is it that the religious masses are never the ones acting as human shields in all conflicts and demanding peace today? Isn't that what your God will--for humans to love their fellow humans as brothers and sisters? The level of hypocrisy of most established religions is mind boggling. Petty moronic fools who think their God cares about silly symbols of piety like if they eat fish on Friday or pork never or wear a particular vestment or control their reproduction or face a particular direction ("east" being an artificial construct in God's universe) at certain times of day or wear magical underwear or the "cross" or blah blah blah blah name the silly religious practice of your choice.

If there is a God I'll tell you who he/she/it is going to be incredibly displeased with--every member of his creation who takes (or permits to be taken) a life in his/her/its name. I'd be fairly worried because it's stated unequivocally that it's a big no no.

Don't you not find it logically and morally inconsistent that your belief system subscribes to the idea of a perfect benevolent all-knowing all-forgiving creator who is also vengeful, easily angered, petty, genocidal, irrational . . .? If he/she/it is all knowing how could he/she/it become angry at something he/she/it knows will necessarily happen and could not happen any other way according to God's divine plan? Do you think the nutty rabbis who justify genocide and/or the cleansing of Israel's neighbors are "interpreting" God's will accurately? Don't you find it to be the pinnacle of human hypocrisy to claim to know or understand God's will?

I can't wait for the day when God's "chosen" peoples, the believers, start actually conducting themselves as God's children rather than simply acting like rage-filled children.

All y'all relgious are to blame. The few accomplishments of organized religion pale in comparison to the misery religion has inflicted on humanity. Just another anti-egalitarian anti-humanist anti-rational scheme devised to control and enslave the minds of men.

* Cue the reference to Stalin being an atheist and killing millions.
