On Joe Lieberman . . .

because he knows where the bodies are buried. And he has compromising photos of everybody in the Senate.

That or the people of Connecticut are incredibly stupid. Well actually Connecticut Republicans probably love the guy. I'm just waiting for him to switch parties from The Party Of Joe to the I Heart Michele Bachmann Party.

If Harry Reid had one single brain cell, wasn't being blackmailed, or didn't largely agree with Lieberman on the big stuff, he would have kicked Joe's scurvy dog Vichy Dem ass to the curb a year ago.

Joe Lieberman, Rahm Emanuel, and Dick Cheney are the only human beings on the planet earth I hope die slow miserable deaths of natural causes.

@ K. Trout . . .

He had his problems but while Rasheed was a Blazer I loved the guy. They just never used him right. Minute he goes to Detroit he wins a title.

When healthy I really think he's a solid ballplayer if not an actual phenom when he was in his prime.

@ Old Joe . . .

Speaker Pelosi might have been really been something before the invention of dynamite, but she's a little long in the tooth now for my tastes. Maybe she wouldn't look like such an alien if she hadn't had all that plastic surgery.

Seriously she's starting to look more like Michael Jackson every day.

I'm sort of partial to women under 55 anyway. I just wanted to know the man to woman ratio in the old folks home so I could calculate my odds of being introduced to eligible daughters/grandaughters/and nieces of your co-residents.

Is that what they call you or how you refer to yourselves--"residents" (as opposed to semi-voluntary detainees or protectees)?

@ Old Joe . . .

Permits, laws, all that stuff is right out the window with tactical suitcase nukes in the hands of old folks.

You think if the permit bureaucrat actually spots some Old Joe age geez in the line carrying a briefcase he actually makes him wait, much less fill out any paperwork or pay a fee for whatever it is in the case?

Hell no. I bet he just waves you through and gives you the "all access permit/pass". That's the strategic/tactical beauty and simplicity of the RRHEARD MADD PLAN for law enforcement. Pretty soon "pay it forward" is the human motto rather than "I got mine and you can go fly a kite". Because you say that to the wrong old person and you get vaporized.

Like I said only 1 in every 1000 old timers actually need the real thing. They all just need identical briefcases which can be purchased on the cheap in bulk from China.

Effective by every conceivable measure.

@ K. Trout . . .

And if we pick one in the greater SW part of the US I bet we get sponge baths from beautiful senioritas and margaritas instead of red wine. We could probably even work a deal for the occasional peyote button. And I bet if we asked real nice we might get jammies with Chairman Mao's likeness on them instead of Yoda. Really six of one half dozen of the other--Mao, Yoda, Obama, Stalin--they're all basically the same person.

@ Old Joe . . .

You can't be "terrorized" when you body heats up to 10,000 degrees farenheit in a fraction of a second and you cease to exist. My guess is it doesn't even hurt. For a split second you feel all "tingly" and then you don't feel anything.

That's the "humane" way to neutralize potential crime. Only if you're outside the six block initial blast radius are you terrorized. And they're just "collateral damage" in the "interests of the greater good of stability, security and freedom from crime" anyway. So it's all on the moral up and up so to speak.

Besides it would only take a couple before everybody fell right in line.

@ K Trout . . .

You get sponge baths, red wine, Fox News, multiple sets of Yoda jammies, and unlimited access to the internet when you're in a Medicare subsidized old folks home?

That's bullshit. They should be put to hard labor until their organs are ready to harvest, not coddled like welfare queens.

How in the hell to I get signed up for Medicare. I'm ready for that lifestyle right now.

Hey Old Joe--what's the man to woman ratio like?

Monday, November 9, 2009 09:11 PM

@ totallyblase . . .

You are exactly correct. That's the most succinct definition I've seen yet:

[Terrorism does not have a] definition. It is a political contrivance. ‘Terrorists’ are those who use violence against the side that is using the word.

@ Jebbie . . .

I'm thinking tactical suitcase nukes for everybody. Only a few officers actually have to have them and everybody else is permanently scared shitless and on their best behavior knowing if you slip up the guy in uniform might take out a six block radius with you and everything in it. We go from employing young men as officers to really old people and terminal cancer patients driving around in Oldsmobiles and Lincolns. Nobody would F with them. Touch off a few and I guarantee word gets around in the criminal underworld.

With the exception of real Muslim terrorists, the average American bad guy isn't that big a sociopath/psychopath.

Now that's the kind of deterrent that could just about dry up criminal activity on America's streets.

Think about the War on Drugs. Now the average dealer has to worry about not only getting himself vaporized but potentially all his customers if one of them gets out of line outside his six block radius after the deal transacts.
