Pathetic pointless pap

This is how far main stream journalism has fallen. Want to write a story about abuse of power, inequitable legal system, a fully contextualized history of Cindy's life as it relates to McSamey's political career, then flipping write it. Short of that the story is a glaring example of everything that is wrong with the NYT. The editor came out last week and penned a piece roughly about "why we devote more space to the horse race aspects of the campaign rather than the issues" and his answer was incomprehensible fluff. "Well, uh, we do have policy stories, but uh, well uh, I uhm, ok yeah well we do devote more space to the crap but I'd like to see us devote more space to the issues." Dude. You're the freaking editor. Go to the BOD or whomever and say that either "I'm the editor or you guys are". But don't blame the content of the paper on the reporters. You make the decision what to publish.

I'm sure I'll be one of the first ones rounded up by Bachman's McCarthy era goon squads. But I'd never equivocate if hauled in to defend my patriotism. I'd say quite proudly that this country is broken from top to bottom and I'm quite frankly embarrassed. Then I'd ask for, like uh, 15 hours so I can start listing all the incredibly dysfunctional shit that goes on in this country that we glorify. America has become Bizarro Umerka, land of the frightened hatefilled ignornant boobs who like watching cars go really fast in a circle until one of them crashes . . . while eating chicken wings and drinking bad beer. We are almost exactly like the movie Idiocracy. Just give it another couple of decades. Why in God's name does this country cater to the lowest common denominator . . . because they buy pickup loads of useless crap is my guess.

Dear Ethics Professor

"I feel your pain" to quote a great empath/philanderer who once occupied the White House. I think I'm someone who has an over developed sense of empathy which is why as my parents often remark "I take everything so seriously". I have a great sense of humor when something is actually funny but I don't find the dysfunctional state of America very funny. I don't find the debasement of our civil institutions very funny. And I really don't find the needless killing and torture of people who are not a threat to me or mine funny in any way. This country really is at a tipping point. As the chimp in chief said "this sucker could tank". If America doesn't make some difficult choices about who we are and what we want to be as a culture and as citizens of the world (not superior but part of) then our brief moment in the sun will end. We'll become the beacon of how not to do things and future historian's wet dream case study on greed, hubris, stupidity and fear.

Shooter you are a complete idiot

and I say that with absolutely no reservations. Your reading comprehension is pathetic, your intellect underdeveloped, and your understanding of Saul Alinsky's work non existent. I can't wait for the day you and your ilk fade into history. People like you should be ashamed of many things but mostly that you know no shame. You do however provide decent comic relief.

Bag O' Douche is also a nice lyrical turn of phrase

as is the elegantly brief Douche. I personally don't think much of unlicensed douche scab plumbers. But hey, he's got mouths to feed so I'll cut the shaved head douche a bit o' slack.

Lieberman isn't a Dem--nuff said.

You can bank on the fact that the bankrupt capitulating leadership of the National Democratic Party has no intention whatsoever of stripping Joementum of anything. There is only one solution and one solution only and that is for the citizens of Connecticut to vote him out next time they get a chance. Clearly a tough thing to do when Connecticut republicans can effectively ensure that a progressive (or even a sympathetic centrist) isn't elected by continuing to vote for a Liebertoad like "Dem" in 5 years. Labels distract. Pelosi, Reid, DiFi, Rahm a lam a ding dong, Chucky, and a host of others should be selectively targeted. Until progressives can effectively select a Dem politician in a position of leadership, muster resources, and unseat said incumbent on two years notice, we've got crap. They'll pander to but not fear progressives. And we'll get the same thing we've been getting from this Democratic Congress--sold out to the highest bidder which clearly isn't us.

I have yet to see one instance of the Mayberry Machiavellis in the executive branch held accountable. The few forced to resign were quickly replaced with an equally loyal neocon with the full support and consent of the Democratic leadership. Super duper extra massive gigantic majorities will do nothing to change political reality in this country until the big name Dems are made an example of. One at a time. Pick off a few and maybe the others will see the writing on the wall and retire.
