Do you miss the point of posts on purpose? I can't believe you Smith
[Read the article: She's in it to spin it]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]You simply misunderstand that fighting against sexism is not a Hillary-cause; it's a woman's cause. Combatively pointing out the sexism that has been deployed against her is not being weak; it is being assertive.
What in the blazes are you talking about, Smith? I never suggested that Hillary Clinton should not “combatively” point out that sexism has been deployed against her. In my post, I was directly responding to this statement:
“Whether of not Obama wins the presidency in November depends upon how he and his supporters treat Hillary Clinton. As a Clinton supporter, I will sit the election out if I perceive he is disrespecting her, and I think and hope that many other Clinton supporters will as well.”
My point, which you so obviously missed, is to ask the question why Hillary Clinton and her supporters are asking for special treatment at this point in the game from Barack Obama and his supporters. Barack Obama 1) Can’t control his supporters, 2) Has not parried a single sexist phrase toward Hillary and has only been respectful toward her. Are you raising the bar now? Should Obama kiss her shoes when she enters the room? As far as misunderstanding that fighting against sexism is not a Hillary-cause but rather a woman's cause, that’s exactly what I think of some of Hillary’s own supporters.
However, constantly accusing women of playing the victim card when they express legitimate grievances disempowers women. The employment of this victim card cliche has to be absolutely combatted and women who use this meme against other women disempower sexually abused little girls, domestic violence victims, and rape victims, as well as women who are victims of employment discrimination and gender sexism in language.
You have no argument from me here. Not what I was doing…
This take-it-up-the-ass feminism that so-called feminists have adopted has done next to nothing for women. It is just another way of being male-identified.
Wow, what a vulgar image.
Take you eyes off the guys TRenee. Vote for whom you like but do not attack women who are complaining about things like the use of memes surrounding words like cunt, whore, and bitch to attack Clinton.
Again, I am astounded that you arrive to this conclusion. This is not about Clinton being attacked with sexist terminology. I wasn’t even addressing that. I was addressing your previous statement.
I can show you a post by an Obama supporter here in this very thread that was obviously sexist. But would you attack it? Nooo. TRenee is a good little girl. She will get her lolly from some Daddy-figure.
Smith, just want you to know, no matter how much we disagree, I would never attack you personally in this way. I have always tried to treat you with respect. I don’t even know you. You obviously don't know me.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]I'm glad you starting talking about Barack Obama's race in terms of percentages. It gives me an excellent opportunity to actually point out a tangible U.S. policy that is actually racist.
1) To break down someone's race in terms of percentages suggests that race is biological. Humans of different races are not biologically different. You can't be 50% of anything--you can be mixed-race in any combination. You can be black and white and Native. It is impossible to be part anything. Race as a biological factor has been used to discriminate against all kinds of brown people for hundreds of years. To link this back to gender, biology has also been used to marginalize women: black women, white women, Asian women, Latinas, etc. Biology has also been used in classist ways, such as in the case of comparing poor Irish folks, both here and Ireland, to black folks.
2) That 1/8 rule you cite is an example of institutional racism because of all the reasons I stated above.
