Original article: Healthy, my ass

BRAVOOOOO!!

FINALLY! Somenone speaks up for the sisters who are not GYM-CHALLENGED! I live in the South and have to deal with all the BS about being "thick" or "phat" as an excuse for fat, unhealthy, cellulite-ridden obese sisters for YEARS!

As someone who owns two gym memberships, plays volleyball every week and keeps my HAIR DONE, there is no excuse for this video-whore mentality of what a REAL black woman should look like. If the look is fat and unhealthy, with bald patches from weave-damage then FORGET IT!

I am so sick of sisters who think that a size 16 is acceptable, or that "a man needs somehting to hold on to", or that using the hair salon as an excuse to skip the gym is OK. Come ON, black women!

I'm 32 years old, 5'7, 148 lbs and based on gym memership, decent eating and a will to want to live a LOOOOONNNNGGG time, I give these 20 year-olds a run for their money every day!

We need to understand that the author is not HATING on obese sisters, who are so quick to call out skinny bitches whenever someone has the AUDACITY to question unhealthy lifestyle choices.

She's simply saying that the "thick" mentality is played like an 8-track. Black women: Get a GYM MEMBERSHIP, put the POPEYES CHICKEN down and leave the YAKY #58 alone. Trust, your life will be better for it!
