Republicans are worse

I was discouraged by your last post on complicity of democrats with republican torture. You show it is the torture of both parties which is why there has been so little action on impeachable oversight. I have been holding onto the thread of hope that the change of party would stop, or at least slow down, the destruction of Bush of so many things American.

This post shows that the republicans are much worse than the democrats. So we have to keep on keeping on with the democratic party because at least they can be influenced. Now is the time to press them to stand up to Bush and show, as Glenn has done, where they are complicit.

It is all over

When the democrats are complicit with Bush, it is all over for the constitution.

Even the one event of Karl Rove and Josh Bolton refusing to testify is grounds for impeachment on the separation of powers doctrine.

I will say it again,

When the democrats are complicit with Bush, it is all over for the constitution.

My technical background included the study of non linear dynamics. The popular version is in chaos theory with examples like the butterfly flapping its wings in the US and causing a hurricane in Brazil. We are in non linear dynamics territory with the assault on the constitution.

There has always been the faith the structure of government with separation of powers, staggered elections and so forth would be enough to keep the ship afloat. It looks like the ship of state has sunk.

HR 1955, SR 1959

Glenn,

I would appreciate a comment on this legislation on domestic terrorism. It passed the house in October with only 6 No votes.

I think it is now in the Senate.

Does it end the first ammendment as some has said?

Anyone who speaks out, or organizes against the government can be declared a domestic terrorist and then anything goes like Bush has done with other terrorists.

I have not seen an ongoing treatment of this important issue.

When will the democrats see the truth?

I really don't think right.

For years I have thought that the republicans couldn't look themselves in the mirror for all the bad things they have done to the people of America and the bad stuff in the world. Well, they just don't care. They are diverting money to the rich, draining our resources and destroying our constitution. I care so much that I couldn't even imagine that they don't care. They also are complicit in destroying our environment.

Glenn has finally made me realize how complicit that the democrats have been. The post today is the slide toward the police state with dems right in there with the republicans. These democrats simply don't care about the constution, our republic, and avoiding being a police state.

Chris Dodd, now more than ever, we need you to champion the cause and stop telcom imminity. If you fold now, you become one of them.

When will the democrats see the truth? My level of hope goes down daily.

Maybe it isn't all over

My concern has been the destruction of the rule and law by the Bush administration. If the democrats are complicit, it is all over.

With the victory yesterday, maybe it isn't all over. There was wonderful dialogue on the rule of law and the constitution. The disgust in the do nothing democrats has been focused by this issue and other acts of complicity of the democrats. In particular, Harry Reid's true colors are now in full display. Time to sent him more email to those who are on the dark side, and notes in support of those who took a stand for our fragile republic. Our new senator, Sharod Brown, was one of the 10 who voted with Dodd against the 70 who wanted to proceed with the Intelligence Committee bill. Congratulations are in order to him.

Intelligent Design

Here is a fun article on how Polk County, near Tampa, FL, blocked the teaching of intelligent design.

This article and activism is similar to the approach of Glenn in making their position explicit by using their logic.

Go have some fun. Be sure and click on the Wired article link.

This is an antidote for the outcry about a recent article on Salon.com about science and religion that got hundreds of comments.

When will the democrats fight?

John Edwards is the only chance we have to keep from falling further away from our constitution and heritage by fighting the vested interests. If another republican wins the presidency, the rule of law will be so far gone that we may never get it back.

I was talking with a friend from a fortune 100 company who left last year because he didn't want to go along with the program. It seems that the strategy of keeping the company agile was to fire 30% of the people every year. My friend was told that he was too nice a guy to fire the required people. Arguments like how long it took someone to learn the job, a couple of years at least, fell on deaf ears. Notice that the tactics of fear that the republicans have used to destroy our government are now being used in corporations to destroy the corporate culture. Shouldn't there be reason and freedom of speech in our corporations? Not if it is further eroded in our country which rewards those who already have too much.

Original article: Worthless chatter

@bamage - missed the point

GG's post today is about worthless chatter.

GG has made it clear from earlier posts that he has not endorsed anyone, and hopes that the primary season will be over soon, i.e., it is mostly about worthless chatter.

Then you make a comment that GG was not able to influence the Iowa primary by his comments on Hillary? He doesn't even support a candidate.

So your comment falls into the category of worthless chatter.
