Quote of the Day

Y'know, I was about to address this by making a pun out of his last name, but that would be too easy...

Mr. Beck's latest screed

I was just wondering...when will the frequencies of right wing bombast become so shrill that they can no longer be heard?

Let me break out my air violin

People are not going to buy into this piffle anymore. The election results in 2008 were quite different than 2000. Then the country was evenly divided. Recently, the republican approach was repudiated at the polls. To a republican like Rove, "bipartisanship" has always meant adhering to the very republican orthodoxy that failed.

So, by Rove's logic, Obama is more partisan, because the country is more partisan. And will stay so, I think, at least as long as Rove et al continue to play these parlor games, instead of helping our nation recover from the mess that was inherited by the previous administration.

Remember

that this was the same Newty-newt, who, in a fit of petulance because he wasn't offered a seat in the front of Air Force One, shut down the government. Oh how I wish how the talking heads would place things in perspective!

I love

watching republicans metaphorically immolate themselves.

nuance=sentience

I heard the interview this morning, and had to look at my radio dial to see if I hadn't been listening to a talk radio parody. Steele painted himself into a rhetorical corner, and I think Inskeep offered him a way out, but Steele kept clinging to the ol' paintbrush.

Dancin' FOOL!

"Obama a Socialist"

"Obama a socialist

Actually it's really not that far of a stretch, considering he does believe in redistribution of wealth."

By that definition then every president (and every congress) has been socialist.

Uh oh....

President Obama speaking about compassion and tolerance. This will certainly drive the winguts even more crazy.
