@Xanthro BS - You think you are so smart

"The fact is the $22 million in dept that people keep talking about is not the result of a deficit caused by regular spending. It was a bond that was approved by the voter in a referendum. The people in the town voted for a measure to build a park and sports area in the town. The same measure included a 2.5% sales tax to pay for the bonds.

It's not fiscal "irresponsibility" for voters to approve a bond measure. It's their choice."

NO, what is this BS? Can't you just answer the question? Are you just afraid, or do you not understand English?

"Did she leave Wasilla with $22 mil in debt or not?"

"Did she raise taxes on food or not?"

That's all. Do not give me your gobble-de-gook nonsense.

PALIN LEFT THE CITY WITH $22 MIL in DEBT.

PALIN RAISED TAXES ON FOOD.

Period.

See how its done?

OOOOooohhhh, the Press Is Just Incompetent.

I apologize. I thought they were complicit, or even desiring, the destruction of the Constitution and our way of government.

My bad.

@ Xanthro - Very Clever

Redefine "debt" and "taxes". Cute.

But that was an example that you rebutted previously, and I actually agreed with your initial rebuttal, although I do think, for the reasons I stated, she is still vulnerable on this. I still contend the initial accusation, true or not, is the one that hurts the most. Truth is not really of any consequence.

As for your other comment, about not responding, I notice you did not touch a lot of the other accusations, such as cutting funding for the Food Bank, or close ties with convicted Washington lobbyists, or the Sports Complex in litigation, or many others.

I can only assume you agree that these are egregious behaviors, while not illegal, perhaps do not show Gov Palin in the best light.

@ NYShooter

1 - Does she govern Alaska incompetently. Well, that depends. There are criticisms, differences of opinion. For example, she pushed through a cash disbursment of about $3269 for virtually every Alaskan this year because of the oil money they get. (this sorta answers your second question). But is this money better saved in the rainy day fund, currently at some $35 Billion.

Anyway, the LA Times has done a series on her this past week. There is also information in the Alaskan papers. Here is a start:

@Xanthro - Apology

I read your posts more carefully. You are being excruciatingly scrupulous. I get it now.

I still think you are splitting hairs on the debt and taxes thing, but that points to my point of needing unassailable facts.

So I guess this is an apology and a thank you.

Big Deal - Does not matter

ABC's Charlie Gibson will ask softball questions because already the word is out how mean the press is to poor Sarah. She will ACE the test and have more credibility among the low information voters. The Dems cannot count on anything. The low information voters LOVE her, and she can do no wrong.

The Dems have to undermine her credibility. With her record, her world views, anything. It has been 10 days. The longer she remains unchallenged, the more momentum she has.

Great Obama Ad. Another Idea.

GREAT Ad by Obama. Call a liar a liar.

Now Obama should go the other way, social issues, and the GOP gave him the perfect opportunity:

BO: “The GOP mocked my career as a Community Organizer. John McCain has spent 26 years in Washington. Gov Palin comes from a state with massive subsidies. Perhaps they are just out of touch with the problems of people who are not rich. So here are some Community Organizers.

“Hi. I’m Mary Smith. I organize bringing food to the hungry.

“Hi. I’m John Jones, I organize donations to clothe the needy.

“Hi. I’m Jane Johnston. I organize people to take care of the sick.

We do have real responsibilities.

We have responsibilities to the communities we live in.

We have responsibilities to the people we help.

We have responsibilities to the God we serve.

We support Barrack Obama and Joe Biden .”

"I'm BO and I approve this message."

Go the other way

O has a great ad out, attacking Palin / McCain.

Now Obama should go the other way, neutralize them on social issues, and the GOP gave him the perfect opportunity:

Great Ad. Now, Go the other way

YES! Call the liar a liar.

Now Obama should go the other way, neutralize the right wing on social issues, and the GOP gave him the perfect opportunity:

@Queen B

The Wall Street Journal? The Faux News on paper?

Please.

Intelligent people have dumped that rag. Investor's Business Daily or, for news, FT.
