Original article: Dead party walking

AS long as there is money

As long as there is someone who believe that the poor have too much money, and the rich don't have enough.

As long as one person believes we should socialize cost and privatize profits.

As long as one person believes in the power of lies and fear.

By God, there will be a Republican Party with venom, a sharp tooth, and a desire to strike.

You Can't Take Care of the World

What you can do is take care of yourself and your family. You can initiate small solutions in a small place.

For myself, I like the idea of going to some fairly small place where, when the bad stuff starts to happen, the damage is limited. I like New Zealand. Lots of arable land and fresh water, small population. Even rising seas can't get all the mountains. Some what isolated, hard to get to for most people. Socialized Healthcare. Terrorists don't have it on their radar screens. Reasonably priced houses. Desire for educated people (you'd be a shoo-in.) Decent pay. First world civilization. Only somewhat racist (Maori and Chinese). You could go into business for yourself, or work with the government installing clean energy and clean water around the country. Sure, the world is being destroyed, but, cheez, you can only do so much.

As for your spirtual situation, I would recommend meditation. You know the brain waves, alpha waves, I believe, are scientifically verified. It is calming and very spirtual, even if you don't believe in it. You can do Zen, a Hindu Ashram, Tanka Buddhism, or a number of secular meditation vehicles. Its all the same brain waves.

Good luck.

Interesting Article

I only watch Faux News a few seconds a day, when I flip past them onto something more substantial. Perhaps the Golf Channel.

As for CNN, as far as I am concerned, they are Faux News lite, and I watch them for maybe 3 minutes a day, while surfing for something more substantial. Like Deal or No Deal.

I spend the bulk of my political watching time, probably several hours a day, on MSNBC. KO Rocks.

Original article: The cost of defeat

Romney Helps the Economy

See what he injected into the economy.

Too bad his results suck. Like his economic plan.

Original article: Make your own candidate

Me, too

I thought about voting for Kucinich, but ended up voting for Edwards, even though he dropped out a few days ago. I blame the media for talking more about his hair cuts than his positions on the issues. Pathetic. I also blame the American voters for knowing more about Britney's Rehab than about ANY positions of anybody. Sickening.

Also, about moving to the Netherlands. Good luck. They don't want any Bush supporting American riff-raff over there (most Americans). Immigration is not easy. You better have a bundle of money, or already have a job. And if you think you can get a job, you better be able to speak Dutch, unless you decide you want to work in the tourist industry in Amsterdam.

Liberals are the worst

What we need is ONE Party. The Conservative Party.

Look how well it worked in the Soviet Union. And China. And Cuba.

We ought to make Cuba our goal, with Rush Limbaugh playing the Castro part.

That would be the best thing to happen to America, ever.

He provoke paranoia from me, too.

Flip-flopping liar.

I followed him since he was first elected Senator, as I was living in Arizona at the time. At one time I thought he would not be so bad. Now... well, I would have voted for Mike Gavel before I vote for this guy. Ralph Nader, even...

Original article: In the military we trust

US Military Budget

The US Military Budget is greater than the rest of the world's military budgets combined. The US economy cannot sustain this much money going to make things then blowing them up. China and Russia's military budgets together are about 25% of the US budget.

THIS is why I want to knock the budget down. I don't want to "disarm" the military. I want a sensible budget. It is the second largest item on our annual budget. Know what's third? INTEREST on our National Debt ($429 billion). One third of which belongs to Bush and the Neocons.

With this kind of money, the problem is not a monetary one, it is a MANAGERIAL one.

HEY MILITARY! LEARN TO MANAGE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR PRIORITIES. I am expected to manage mine. Generals have ZERO idea how to manage theirs. Well, I am wrong on that. They manage by going to the Congress and WHINING.

Oh, yeah... "Least elitist, most diverse"... well, except for the rich. I noticed the symp who wrote this forgot to mention the really rich. They don't join. They have better things to do. Like hire mercenaries.

Obsessed is right

It would seem to me that the appropriate comment to this gentleman would be, "Get a life".

How its really done

I'd like to see a 2008 Presidential Debate moderated by Stewart and Colbert. These guys are smarter and more facile than any of the MSM bozos.

Intervene?

How about intervening the Bush Reich?

No, no, that's off the table.

Morons.

Mr Self-Actualized

Needs to spend more time with the wife and kids.

It seems that everything is about him.

A real self-actualized person takes care of loved ones before patting themselves on what a great life they are leading.

Stephen Colbert Taunted Corporate Media to Their Collective FACE

"Just an un-funny comedian. Nothing to see here. Move on."

Friday, May 30, 2008 12:39 PM

Two Years Ago the Same Guys Said

Stephen Colbert is an un-funny guy whose speech at the Washington Press Club Dinner bombed.

Colbert told them to their sycophant faces.

The Corporate Media just has no clue how deep in with the devil they are.

Original article: Quote of the day

Bob, Bob, Bob

" miserable creatures like you " " your type soaks up the benefits of power" " spurred on by greed, cashes in"

Bob. He's a REPUBLICAN. That is what they DO.

Geez, Bob. I mean, your wife..

It's not like she could have gotten elected without being married to you. It's not like she could have gotten elected if you hadn't run for President.

It's not like she is actually contributing to the health and welfare of the USA.
