Original article: Who wants to be a Democrat?

Obama vs. Clinton-- either deserves your support

Obama's ability to run a fastidious, stirring and motivating campaign that draws new voters to the national debate is a strong indication that he is ready to administer the nation as President. He is smart enough to know what he doesn't know, and he will surround himself with capable advisors and staff.

With all of her experience, Clinton's campaign is only recently coming together to be broadly effective.

But I will support the Democrat nominee regardless of who it is, because the most important thing is to vote the Republicans out of the White House. They have taken this country down the road to ruin, and we can't stand another 4 or 8 years of their fear-mongering contempt for the people.

Democrats-- even if you don't like the nominee, please support the party in the general election!

Whose fault is this?

Salon is pretty much "mainstream media." Where were you when Obama was being vilified for his relationship with Wright? The Republicans and their insane "Christian" advisors have always had a free pass, and I have never understood it. The psycho Christians have their media outlets. Let the mainstream media tell it like it is.

Laughinstock?

What's so funny? Chucklehead Bush lied us into a bloodbath, has trashed our civil liberties, and destroyed our reputation around the world. He should be punished. My only question is, why is Kusinich standing alone?

Tell me no!

I am so distressed by the posters who say they are another Hillary supporter who will not vote Democrat in November. We simply cannot afford to let the Republicans maintain control of the Whitehouse. Please vote Obama, even if you have to hold your nose. Believe me I would vote for Hillary if she were the nominee. Vote the Republicans out! And, if you think Obama's just warm and fuzzy, take a look at his website. He and Hil aren't that far apart policy-wise. We need to take the government back, and we can't do it if you're voting Green or for McCain. Join us-- we'll figure it out. Thanks.

Original article: Stop the noise!

I HATE CAR ALARMS

and I don't understand why they are standard in new cars when research has proved that they do not deter crime.

All this makes me sad

I consider this the most important (and most exciting) election of my life. The Republicans have trashed the nation I love and it is essential that we take it back.

My observation is that Senator Clinton, for reasons I do not understand, is a very divisive figure. She is loved and adored by at least the 18 million who voted for her, but she is also hated with white-hot hate by members of both parties. I think it's essential that the Democrats prevail in November, and that is why I support Obama. I think he is more electable than Clinton.

But as I said, I love the United States, and YOU BETTER BELIEVE I WOULD SUPPORT HILLARY WITH ALL MY HEART IF SHE WERE THE CANDIDATE.

For the life of me, I cannot understand why anyone who loves Clinton would vote against her party-- the party that values truth and justice, respects the rights of women, and cares about the people and not the corporations and special interests.

From what I have read, the PUMAs seem to say that they will vote Republican because they are dissatisfied with the way the DNC handled the primaries. Do they understand that Mrs. Clinton agreed to all the rules before she entered the race? And do they really believe that the DNC will care what they want if they throw their support to the opposition? Do they also not realize that the Republican Party's way of running primaries reflects the will of the people LESS fairly, with its winner-take-all delegates per state?

Please, PUMAs, please do as your candidate is asking you to now, and support the Democratic party for all our sakes. 4 or 8 more years of Republican reign would be a scourge. The nation needs you.

Original article: Slamming Wesley Clark

I saw the interview myself

And didn't think Clark was the least bit insulting. He said something true: being shot down and taken prisoner does not qualify one for the presidency. He also acknowleged McCain's service to the country and his heroism, BLAH BLAH BLAH. I thought nothing of it, and was truly surprised that the Republicans had made it an-attack-on-the-candidate's-patriotism issue by Monday morning. What a bunch of whining crybabies! I guess if McCain could actually speak to the issues without reversing himself 180 degrees or lying through his teeth maybe they wouldn't be so sensitive to every imagined slight. Did you see the Chimp giving McCain credit for Jim Webb's GI Bill, which McCain outright opposed? Pathetic. Kick the whole poisonous lot out of the Washington, please!

Original article: The Obama cover kerfuffle

Yeah but

Very clever satire. Unfortuntely, the idiots who believe this crap about the Obamas are likely so stupid they couldn't recognize satire if it bit them on the ass.

Original article: Rush Limbaugh was right

I thought satire needed context

And there was no context for the cartoon. How can it lampoon the fools who buy into the Obama-is-a-terrorist idea when they are nowhere to be found in the cartoon? I get satire and I knew this cover was no seious depiction of the Obamas; at the same time, my reaction was fear and despair. Fear that the image would reinforce the ignorance and be used by the radical right to whip up more unfounded anti-Obama hysteria, and despair that my sense of humor is no match for my anxiety about our nation's future.

Boo hoo

and screw them. The Repugs just can't stand any media coverage that doesn't vilify Obama and condone McCain's lying and squirming when asked about the inconsistencies of his position or his newfound adulation for all things Bush.

America keeps complaining they don't know who this young upstart Obama is. I say go, liberal media, do your job already and let's see what the guy can do.

No surprise

All McCain has is attacks. The rest is Bushit.
