Original article: Female condom 2.0

Missing the point

The female condom is not for Americans with control of their sex life's, it for women who are in countries/situations were they don't control if they have sex, and have zero control over the male, and can't ask for him to use the much cheaper and affective male condom.

Think prostitutes in Thailand, women in Africa. This is to protect women from aids in countries were the option to say no to sex is limited.

Posters - grow up - the women can put it in hours ahead of time, and not tell their partners they are using it.

Reply - to Dick

"it seems very doubtful that they could afford it, even at 30% off. Although I suppose the cheaper the better."

I believe as the article stated the UN gives them out to at risk populations. So if they are cheaper they can provide them to more women.

Urban vs Country

So this has been going on for awhile, and the way it works is in the large cities, sexual selection of off-sping is rare, and the male/female ratio in the cities is within the normal range. The issue is in the country side - the ratio is really off, the country side doesn't have the education and views of the cities, and the life style is still last century - which is why city girls are unwilling to marry country boys -- they are much poorer, less educated, and beliefs in the value of women doesn't match the city. (And country girls flee to the cities to work, never to return)

What has been happening is kidnapping and forced weddings of city girls, but the Communist party who lost their girls do not have a sense of humor about this and came down hard on this practice, really hard and it stopped - so now the kidnapping is of women from other countries -who are poor and without powerful parents in the cities. Like N. Korea, Vietnam - I am trying to remember the name of the news show I heard this on, they were interviewing some of the "brides" they didn't speak Chinese, and one said she was already married with 3 kids, and had been kidnapped from her home.

The kidnapping is not however necessarily by the men, but by their parents, who think having a son to carry on the family name is the most important thing in the world, and having a grandson is worth committing any crime for. (So they pay traffickers to bring them a bride - the traffickers go to a place with women and no local protection and kidnap them)

The issue here is primitive views about the lack of worth of females, meets modern birth control -so why do the pundits always blame birthcontrol/abortion and not the primitive views on women, which are the real root cause of the problem? The educated part of the population has access to the same birthcontrol/abortions and is not having the issue that the uneducated anti-female rural population is having. Tells me the issue is education, and primitive attitudes that don't work in the modern world.

So what did they do to Jose Padilla?

Jose Padilla was an American citizen held on terror charges in the US on a military base , with out any rights (Habeas Corpus) - in solitary.

They tried to put him on trail here recently, but ruled due to his treatment he was quite insane and unable to stand trial due to reason of insanity as a result of his treatment in the military prison, and note he was US civilian not a soldier -- so how many laws were broken there? Why are the people who did this not responsible? And wouldn't a trail before he had been tortured have been more useful? He wasn't insane or ruled unable to stand trial, until after his hospitality in our military prisons. But hey, I doubt if there is a bruise or a broken bone in his body from his stay -- so he wasn't tortured by most folks definition. He is just start raving crazy, like a lot of the folks down in gitmo -- because hey they are not being tortured, don't they know that, why are they letting their minds snap?? Guilty without a trail, or presentation of any evidence in public, and now to insane to defend themselves ... yes that is how the world sees us, because we've done this in the name of the American people.

Just keep in mind folks if they did it to one US citizen - they can do it to any of you -- doesn't matter if he was guilty as sin or innocent, because this is never going to trial now, is it.....

Alaska too

Remember Palin's husband was a member of a secession group up in Alaska -- and since Alaska gets almost two dollars back from the feds for everyone they put in -- perhaps we can let them go to.

Those survivalist , state militia types with guns and god -- are always wanting to separate from the rest of us with running water, hospitals and schools - let them.

Unfortunately they always take their kids , and you end up with the groups marring off girls at 13 to 30 year old men -- and decent folks always feel they have to rescue the women and kids.

Perhaps we say they can secede, but only men folks, they can't take their kids and women with them.

Separation

-- Legal note, separation does not get you off the hook for any debts he incurs, only divorce does. The judge can say its his debt, but until the divorce is final they will still go after the woman until it is paid, they know they won't get it from the guy, they will go after her, day and night, and the judge saying it was his share of the debt is not binding. Any debt you get together is the woman's - from the day of marriage until the divorce is final.
