This article was about Britain not the US --

But the issue is world wide

Original article: What does Hillary want?

I'd bet good money all the people who wish Hillary would pack it in ......

are still mad at Gore for packing it in and letting Bush in with out much of a fight.

Don't you just wish Gore had fought this hard, and gone the distance? If he had Bush might not have been president. And then again, he might not have, but it would have been a good fight.

I don't like Hillary, and I don't think Obama can beat McCain.

So it doesn't leave me with much hope, just a wish that Gore had been more of a bitch, and hung on.

Original article: What does Hillary want?

There are no far left Democrats -- or liberal elected Democrats

Far Left : Green Party

Middle : Democrats (and if you look at their policies on energy, banking, trade-- they are to the right of Nixon, drift right much folks??)

Far Right: Republicans - because they drifted to the land of religious nut jobs. They use to be fiscal conservatives, and have unique policies on trade, energy and banking -- but the Democrats adopted all of those positions -- so they went for Social Issues, and on all other matters Global companies are always right, and can do no wrong.

Democrats haven't been left for more than a decade -- think NAFTA -- but, but say universal health care, gay rights ....yes yes they've been saying that for a long time but they don't actually have any of these things... and if they really wanted them, they would have them by now... Say pander to the voters for me, hey the Republicans tell their voters that abortion will be illegal -- if they meant it , it would be by now. Each party panders, no one wants to believe the wool is over their eyes.

-- Sorry about the rant, but damn quit calling Democrats Liberal. There maybe liberal democrats, but they are not in office. They are voters who keep hoping by voting Democrat over and over again, some day they will get a different out come - not a reality based form of thinking, almost as bad as faith based.

Try something really radical -- think outside the box, sorry meant outside the two party system.

Keep drinking, and you won't be a mother

Your husband might beat you to the punch and divorce you, asking for primary custody - since you are a drunk, that gets abusive.

Its simple - don't drink, don't screw around, don't do anything that will look bad at divorce court. Spend less time screwing around and find the job you need to be a person not a parasite.

Get divorced in a civil fashion, with out dragging things through the mud, so your son can see and be with his father and you -- and not feel his world is falling apart.

You are having a bad time, your son will be having a worse time.

You can fix your issues, he can only depend on you to fix his. Get a grip and grow up - its not all about you, and your husband is not going to passively let you slowly work toward the ending you want, he may get tired of you and get to the end first.

Baby's in the computer room at 3am - been there, done that

On-call everyday, month after month. Pay high enough to keep you from other jobs, but not high enough. No one not in IT knows what you are doing, and not particularly grateful.

I've had no problems from male co-workers or management, until our company was bought out by a mid-west company (we are on the coast) -- can't help notice they have no minorities and no women on their board. (lots of other crap) Went from no glass ceiling, to a steal one -- I will be quiting soon.

But the real issue, is 25% of the folks are from India in our IT, and lots of companies are outsourcing, and I know alot of IT folks out of work, even really smart ones. Either they start a new company or leave the field. It's not gender, its we've been outsourced to cheaper labor. The Indian folks, are nice, and eager to please, and will work long hours, and damn it they are cheaper.

SO why go into a hard science/engineering/computer major -- and run up the college loans, if there will be no jobs to pay the dept off with? Engineers are telling their kids (male and female) not to go into the profession, find a field that CAN"T be OUTSOURCED. You have to pay off those college loans.

And I think that is a major reason for people not going into the fields, not gender issues. Chemistry labs are being outsourced -- and quite frankly most science based work can be outsourced. And most IT can be as well. I hear being a plumber pays well, and they can't send that offshore.
