Everyone is an idiot who believed this

ok, folks if abortion were that easy to do - wouldn't women do them vs going through the scream lines of crazy's to get one at plan parenthood? There are NO magic abortion herbs - and women who self induce even just one abortion, end up in the hospital or dead... that is why the symbol of the pro-choice folks is the hanger with a circle, and a line through it. Now this woman did it how many times??? And I have a bridge to sell you, basic biology, and centuries of women trying to control their fertility, if they could abort by themselves, with nothing but a little blood -- they would.

If this woman had given herself even one, real self abortion all by herself -- she'd be in the hospital from the blood loss,

and she'd still need a D&T -- or she would get an infection and die, which means she'd have had a lot of medical visits - and notice of what she was doing.

Now what she is -- is an artist whose art shows how willing the anti-abortion folks believe that there are such evil women, quite frankly this is what all women who have abortions are doing, and for reason just as lame. This is completely unbelievable, and medically impossible -- but folks believed because the story matches their beliefs, damn the facts.

What bugs me is the so called pro-choice folks also believed it, because deep down they are uncomfortable with some women who make the choice, incase it is for the wrong reasons.

This artist has exposed peoples real opinions of women who have abortions. By claiming something impossible, and terrible gross, and possibly immoral -- because secretly it is what most people believe, they fell for it -- exposing their true beliefs about women and abortion vs what they might claim.

Rice vs Beans

When you finally get tired of beans, buying the 20+ pds of rice at the asian stores are cheap. But cooking can be a pain, so cough up the one time cost for a good rice cooker. Put in the rice before going to work, set the timer, and perfect rice every time ready and done before you get home. The cooker seems expensive -- but bulk rice will save you money, and makes a good side dish -- or main dish of beans and rice.

And having it all done when you get home from your 10 hour day plus commute -- makes it worth it.

Education

It annoys me that folks keep going on about young people shouldn't get their news from these guys. Excuse me, but I thought the tv ratings folks found that the audience for the Colbert and Daily News show were among the highest educated? People watching this show are college educated, and getting their news elsewhere. This is a cable show, because it is not pitched to the "average guy". These are intellectual shows - for a caring, smart liberal audience.

Fox news is what the average watches. This is not a slam -- but pointing out what different groups of people want to hear. Not sure where smart conservatives go -- probably still sticking to William Buckley's magazine, and the Washington Times. (Do they get a tv show? I know my very conservative and smart Aunt -- has been going insane during the Bush years, fearing that rational conservatives will never recover from the blow of his administration - not a good few years for fiscal conservatives vs social conservatives.)

Legalizing makes it worse - read the UN reports - or the violence against women in areas of legalizationOn several articles we've been over it -- everyone seems to believe that legalizing it will make the problems associated with the industry go away.

On several articles we've been over it -- everyone seems to believe that legalizing it will make the problems associated with the industry go away.

But it is legal in some places -- read the UN human trafficking reports and you know what conclusions they come to? Making it legal makes it worse, and harder to control the worse effects of prostitution.

Netherlands -- its legal -- but there are not enough women who want to be in business, so the Russian mafia solved the supply and demand issue, they kidnap young women from the Eastern European counties and sell them into the trade. These women and children doesn't speak the local language , scared out of their minds. Now human trafficking is a problem in all of Europe -- but in the Netherlands it is worse, because the legal hides the illegal, and makes it hard to make a case, and arrest the traffickers.

Also like Nevada - Thailand, Netherlands -- places around areas were it is legal, sexual violence against all women increases. Since some women are legal sexually objects -- it lowers all women’s status, and endangers them.

Experts who deal with the crimes around prostitution like human trafficking, highly recommend not legalizing it -- not because they really care if a few high end (what a really small percent of the industry) feel their rights are put upon, because legalize it endangers all women in the area, and to prevent trafficking -- which for those unclear on the concept, is kidnapping, beating, raping, and selling of a human being, usually a minor ... is bad for everyone, including women who would never work in the industry.

According to the UN - human trafficking is the no 3 crime after drugs, and gun smuggling, and is posed to take the number two spot. Legalize prostitution in more areas, will guarantee its jump up the list.
