Good Job Italy

11/5/09

Dear Glenn,

I suppose another benefit of America's economic demise will be the extent to which other countries are willing to break off relations with war criminals in our government. The ability to financially browbeat the international community has made things easy.

I would think that it is now apparent to the international community that there will be no US prosecution of Bush war crimes so it is now up to them to acquiesce or to promote their own prosecutions. It is not everything but I am pleased to see these convictions, even if in absentia, a feel a great shame for our country that this is the way it has gone.

Maybe it would be helpful to have a website with photos of the convicted and brief biographies.

Thank you for your good work,

Conrad C. Elledge

That Silly Little Glenn Just Doesn't Care What He Says

Dear Alex,

When Glenn Beck says "dwarf", I can only guess what he might be speaking about because he may have been referring to his intellectual capacity, his dignity, his character, his moral, his physical appearance, or his sexual predispositions, abilities, or preferences.

At any rate, who cares what a liar for money might say.

Thank you,

Conrad C. Elledge

Back from the dead common theme for religious figures

Dear Glenn,

The only part that surprises anyone is the "point taken" from Steph.

I wonder if your discussions of the press are treating the symptoms rather than identifying the disease. These people claiming to be journalists you rightly criticize are not much more than corporate spokespersons and in an unkinder light propagandists.

Its like the congressperson claiming that the multi-millions given him and his wife have nothing to do with his opposition to what the contributor told him to oppose.

Maybe begin your discussions of an individual journalist failures in their lifelong calling with note on who signs their paycheck. Look how long Rather lasted after pointing out that George Bush was a deserter. How long would most of them get face time if they spoke their mind?

Thanks for your good work,

Conrad C. Elledge

Anonymous Source Transparency in Government Essential

Dear Glenn,

The anonymous thing is more than just a bit ridiculous so thank you for holding up the mirror. Add the claims of transparency by the Obama administration and the irony is amplified.

Weiner is way ahead of the kids Obama has fronting for him. He actually is taking a stand come what may while they seem to have adopted Bush's idea of focusing on the next election.

Right now, I think the mood in America is more like Weiner/Grayson than Obama/Anybody.

Thank you for your good work,

More than meets the eye

Dear Glenn,

Seems you conveniently glossed over a few points here. This man was a Canadian. These are the same people who use the false cover Canadienne. They have been known to transport cheese across international borders. Couple that with the Middle Eastern descent and you have a clear case of anything goes.

OK, he was tortured. So what--who haven't we tortured. And by the way, why are you always making such a big thing about that? He wasn't bombed. His sister wasn't raped and then murdered and her corpse burned to conceal the crime. In the meantime you have been entirely safe with no new attacks since 9/11 so it seems you could manage a little appreciation.

The court in this circumstance did what they were told to and if you took a moment to realize how people get ahead in the current system you wouldn't be so quick to criticize. After all, its not easy pandering to political appointment. I mean really, you act as if they elected George Bush or something.

If we are to have a bipartisan dialogue, then we are going to have to compromise on a few things. Once the war is over things will return to normal; you'll see.

Thank you,

Big Day for the Mighty Glenn

10/26/09

Dear Glenn,

Big day for you slapping down the Obama cheerleading squad at DKos and then moving on to the more than slightly disturbed Douthat. I can't, by the way, believe that he would dou that.

It proves what we all know and that is that idiots come in all sorts of packages. Did you know that DKos has a strict policy of no discussing any aspect of 9/11 investigation. They have issued an edict as to what actually happened and there is to be no further discussion of the matter. It's all quite official and entirely reasonable, appears in the official rulebook and everything.

The sex link on Dingbat was incredibly revealing. Who handles vetting for the NYT--John McCain? They sure missed a zinger on Douthat. Is it a requirement to be sexually twinked to be a Republican war monger or can just anybody do it? You have to give him credit though because you can't find just anybody willing to put their name on stuff like that so if you are looking for a maverick well then look no further.

As always, I deeply grateful for you contribution,

Conrad C. Elledge
