Cowardly views on military presence...

This sort of rehashed nonsense is mostly about attitude. In order to defend freedom, even the freedom of those who don't deserve it (i.e., the cowardly american haters who sit around preaching passivism in this country) , you can't just sit around on this continent and wait for things to happen. Glenn's message here is hardly original, and although the US does make certain moves in the world that don't make sense - let's face it: none of them make sense to those who don't think the US has the right to defend its interests, anywhere, anytime. Its a hollow, shallow attitude. And how could any sensible thinking human being actually equate the attack on Iraq with any of the garbage that Russia has done? Iraq is the attempt to install at least some semblance of a democracy where once a very hostile tyrant existed -- and who threatened the world with his presence.

What might it take to provoke such spineless whimps to actually support American interference anywhere?

I surely don't agree with everything the US does worldwide, but I certainly support the principle behind such movements -- you know, the anti-cowardice, self defense principle. I wonder if the cowardly twirps like Glenn and his ilk would ever countenance a military posture?

Original article: A call to arms

Hey, I'm on my way out to register honey!

Anne! thanks a lot for all this resentlful rubbish. I am hurrying out to register right now! Sarah Palin here I come!! What a refreshingly unantagonistic, redblooded female! She's such a breath of fresh air -- so obviously the opposite of the cackling old hag squad who have made a life out of hating not only men, but obviously republicans! Ha! -- go figure! What sort of life is that? I guess its the kind you and those other femmies like you must lead, eh? The life of hating -- anything even remotely conservative! -- and now she has threatened your saviour! What a -itch!! Obama the bumbler (I mean when he talks about anything he doesn't know much about, which is anything that has to do with protecting the country), your next great embodiment of the socialist/liberal ideal: will he still be able to save you? Or will the witch spoil all your fun?

A pretend cartoon?

Here's what I see: an obviously ridiculous pretend cartoon by someone who is pandering to those who will ravenously slurp down, without pausing to taste or examine, the absurd hidden meaning. Gosh, its like a bunch of starving animals being fed anything that's barely edible: it makes no difference whether its good stuff or not, just as long as it fullfills their inner craving to remain biased.

How horrid! The wrong terminology..

That is clearly unforgiveable, and I thank you for making such a huge issue out of something so meaningless...cartoon, comic strip...totally biased illustrations -- whatever you want, aged wise one. This mistake was really a mere oversite though, sir, and really has nothing to do with age...I bet I'm older than you though , just perhaps not so crusty about it...and btw --so do you like Rush..or no? couldn't really tell...

Does Mr. Doomsday still have any credibility? I'm incredulous!!!

This windbag was to totally discredited over the past several decades, following his horrendously hilarious predictions in the 'population bomb' -- none of which, absolutely none! -- came true-- how can anyone entertain his claims, yet? Take Ehrlich and stash him with the rest of the whacko ecoids who have been predicting the end of the earth for several decades now -- some place like a carnival, where people can value them for what they actually are! -- intellectual jokes. The only diff is that at least the carnival shows are harmless, while these raving lunatics actually cause thousands of people harm with their dire predictions and attempts to revert humanity back to the hunt and gather days!

Is this the sort of crap that the 'salon' does? Puts together a panel with whackos like Ehrlich? SInce the guy is such a fraud, there can't be balance; you don't find truth when you allow intellectual dishonesty a valid position.

I mean I just don't get it! I just happen upon this link every once in awhile. I realize outside viewpoints aren't welcome and certain methods of talking are attacked instantly, but how far can you go? How about Charles Manson, or some radical leftist psycho from the 60s??? --oh wait, you already have him...

Original article: The lying game

Alan -- what planet are you on?

Only on a forum so totally biased could such an article be written and have any degree of acceptance at all. The delusion of leftwing writers such as Wolfe would have us all hating anyone who wears the republican badge -- so totally uncontested, in their own environment, are they. One wonders just how long you can nourish your insane hatred of Bush, and now McCain, without someone on your own side questioning your own honesty, because honestly, it seems to so grossly out of harmony with someone who isn't biased, and who doesn't hate, as you so obviously do Wolfie. The tone of your article is one of immense intellectual dishonesty, without any attempt at objectivity. Perhaps the biggest lie being perpetrated in this campaign is that Obama is god ...huh!...shhhh....its almost as if I've gone into church and denied that there is a god!! Why the worship of someone who is so enamored with backstreet politics and statist power? I guess the climb of Obama up thru the Chicago political machinery was totally honest, and his dealing with Ayer and Wright? Why aren't you writing about that Wolfie? Why not spend some of your Bush hatred on a little in depth Obama study -- and stop slobbering over your new god? Well, that is one of the benefits of preaching to the choir..how many of the acolytes will challenge you?
