@captcrisis

I'm with you. It seems all self identifying feminists today have some male horror story in their background....whether daddy left or abused them, they are still recovering from a nasty divorce, or were a rape victim, etc., the one unifying theme in a feminists life is the lack of good men. Apparently that gives them license to smear the whole gender. It's also self fulfilling, I mean what quality guy is gonna stick around and listen to the anti-male screed ?,,,only the worst losers.

What Should have been done ?

I am sure this was just an oversight on your part...but the question remains, what do you think should have been done in this case ?

Class and Dignity ?

No.... a tell all book with tour and Oprah appearance is not handling it with class and dignity....more like airing out the trailer park dirty laundry.

Loose Ladies Out in Full Force

I don't think there is any shortage of loose ladies....least not in the southeast part of the country. You can't go out for dinner or a drink without being practically mauled. I'm sure there are those who think this is a good thing...and I suppose when I was 17 I would have thought the same. But disgusting crude women really have never been my thing, even if they are beautiful, although I am sure there are plenty of takers for women like knecht....have at it. Hopefully the men who do partake will use uranium depleted condoms and not have any hopes of building anything long term.

Tasteless is still Tasteless

Would the jokes be ok if it was Obama's kidney's failing ? Rush Limbaugh may be the most evil man on the planet, but two wrongs dont make a right.....gee I think my mom told me that when i was 5. Joan...you are blinded by your partisanship.

White House Update

Joan please update to reflect that the White House has come out against Wanda Sykes comments about 9/11. Damn white house....no sense of humor !

Original article: Not-so-opposite marriage

Muckraking

Gee the world hasn't ended without gay marriage, either ....imagine that. There is a significant level of support for same-sex unions....that is civil unions. It's the word marriage that 53% of the country supports keeping between a man and a woman. Let's stay focused.

Lady Justice

I would love to see a conservative woman nominated....if nothing else other than to watch all the feminists heads explode, while they attempted to explain why this person wasn't really a woman or a person who represents women's needs.

Open Debate

Feminism will only be respected when it's proponents are willing to openly debate with those who are opposed to it's radical ideology. As long as you are only arguing (or debating) within your own ideology you remain fringe. How about a debate with an MRA ? A guest writer ? No, the lifeblood of feminism is to ignore all evidence and data that is contrary to it's goals and continue to censor opinion. Hence the need for feminist blogs, there is nowhere else where this dogma can stand on it's own.

Original article: The Angelina effect?

@Anonymous_too

I know I don't have to tell you that your experience is in no way indicative of the what the results of studies show. Do you really believe ANYONE thinks the mere presence of a father guarantee's anything ? Please wake up and stop projecting. The presence of a father ON AVERAGE is the strongest single influence on a child's life....deal with it. That doesn't mean the mere presence of a father is a guarantee of anything. It really sounds like your still trying to justify your divorce....and we know what the statistics are on that.

Single Motherhood

"The real dirty, open secret here is that so many women find single motherhood not so terrible, even an improvement over married motherhood, and from these women has come a model of single motherhood that's genuinely appealing. Again, I'm one of these women. Two years after the divorce, when the grieving was done, I entered the happiest, most productive phase of my adult life."

And there it is....the crux of the biscuit. Mom's decision to put her happiness and well being ahead of the child's.

I'll take that as a non-denial denial.

Original article: The great puberty panic!

Kate's Crap

"But again, that's largely because of the way our society responds to any evidence of sexuality in girls"

Where do you get this crap from ? Do you have ANY evidence on your pet theory....or is it enough to write about it just because that's what you think ?

The Bright Side

With the value of virginity dropping so quickly, soon the BS writers will no longer have to project this particular obsession on to the larger culture.....Maybe we will start reading about how sexist it is that the value of virginity has dropped so much and how THAT proves men don't value women.

Thursday, May 21, 2009 10:21 AM

Ideology

This is the consistent message at BS, take a completely useless study, preferably with no citations or data, and show how the results reflect your ideology....snooozzzzzz. Did I miss the part of the study that suggest an upswing in nurturing dads ...or was that more extrapolation ?

Original article: Porn or prescriptions?

Why?

Is this posted in Broadsheet ? If this was something that should be covered at all, it would benefit from anywhere but this pink ghetto.

PS I'll stick to the gym, thanks.

@Julieglib

Go walk 18 holes carrying your own clubs and come back and tell me golf doesn't count as exercise.

The Big Stuff

I would much prefer if Rebecca stuck with the big stuff like..."domestic violence, equal pay, the division of domestic labor...." It's so much fun to show over and over how these feminist positions are FALSE and how feminists use false statistics to TRY to make the case for victimhood.

@Lynx

Your sexist post aside, here's one quick link about gender pay gap to give you something to chew on....and prove you have no clue.
