  • RE: Follow the Money

[Read the article: Black rappers made him do it!]

Well, dont you sound like a divorced white woman with a chip on your shoulder who has passed the chip down to your daughter. Many rappers have their own record labels. Even if they didn't, are you saying that old rich white guys not only control the message, but also control the buying public's tastes ? Why would sexist/racist old white guys allow so many black and white women to be so successful ? Why don't they control the message from their female stars ? You need to take a serious look at your sexist views.

  • Support is out there

For brightstar, ben dover, parson jim, etc. Although I sometimes cringe on some of brightstar's postings, the men's movement does have supporters. Count me as one, as I generally support their positions if not their delivery. Are you really that shocked that there are many men that are revolted by most of the broadsheeot drivel ? I suspect that all of us are feminists by definition, but dont agree what is practiced by broadsheeot, feministing and groups like NOW acurately reflect the definition of feminism. Oh yeah, I too vote Democratic.

To think like a man is not enough for a raise. You must behave like a man...ie work longer hours, in higher paying fields, and stop asking for "special" rules, so that you can come in late and leave early ever day to take care of some "personal" issues.

  • If the boss says the t-shirt is not breaking the dress code the LW needs to drop it

[Read the article: Her sexy T-shirt says "Kitty Not Happy" -- is that OK at work?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

That's hilarious. Is that what you would tell a woman who claimed sexual harrassment ? Hypocrite.

  • Word Pull

[Read the article: Her sexy T-shirt says "Kitty Not Happy" -- is that OK at work?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Words do count, but it's funny which words draw which people in. For example "the slap" brought out all the victimized feminists, and Kitty brought out all the highbrow feminists that see every male action as a fear of womens power. The issue is really a sexual harassment question....if a woman makes a man feel uncomfortable in the workplace through her attire or behavior (read: creates an offensive work environment), who's problem is it ? There really are laws that address this, but normally the genders are reversed. I love the way this question brings out all the feminist hypocrites.

I thought "rhetorical exaggeration" was your middle name.

  • Broadsheet Not Representative

[Read the article: Chatty Cathy, Taciturn Ted?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

So I'm a progressive with an appetite for politics. I found Salon based on my politics. I started reading and posting on Broadsheet, because I couldn't believe the views what were being published here, and the "you go girl" attitude of the women posting. Todays summary: I would be surprised but not shocked if it were true men were as verbal as women, but whatever the case it would only be based on MY experience. The problem of course, is this shoddy study does little to settle the issue, so the women all join in and say "I knew it" and the men say "you got to be kidding". Then AKA tells us more about her life and yada yada yada. I guess the point of this post is, the men here no more reflect "normal men" than the women reflect "real women". Broadsheet truly is a pink ghetto and brings out the worst on both sides. What would be truly interesting ? Do some actual real reporting on these gender issues without bias, rather than merely distributing whatever todays subject is from the feminist echo chamber.

  • Electability Matters

If it didn't, I too would have voted for Ralph Nader. If a few thousand Nader voters thought electability mattered, we would not have had the last 6 years of madness.

  • More BS about inconvenience

[Read the article: Breast milk on board]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

OK...so you need more milk than 3 oz, and your traveling with a baby....so you bring 2 bottles or 3 with 3 oz each....wow that was tough. I am sorry, this is still too inconvenient, let's change the security laws for the whole country to make sure working mom's get a break. And, oh yea, let's allow them to take 3 to 4 months off with pay to have their baby... Dream on, there are actually people who dont have children, or manage their own lives without having the government step in and legislate convenience and free payouts for them. Suck it up.

  • Where is the "Why" Analysis

[Read the article: The costs of asking for a higher salary]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I find it interesting that this article does not attempt to explain why women were treated differently. Of course when a study is done by a women in a gender studies department her predilection is pretty obvious. Was there any attempt to determine if there was a different method of negotiation between men and women, no let's not try to explain it ! It's gender ! It's the patriarchy ! These type of studies would gain a lot more creditability if done by a neutral source. Just look at Ms Bowles quotes, "men were always less willing", "they always preferred", etc. Is she saying that the results were unanimous, I doubt it, but her bias is clear. What about the fact that women were more likely to penalize both genders ? What does that say? If I were a man in a Men's studies department, maybe I would say, "Women are control freaks, they can't stand anyone to challenge their authority, women always blah blah...."

[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I am sorry you feel there is no such thing as a neutral position. Clearly your us vs. them attitude goes deep. If you dont believe a study can be completed fairly by a man or a woman, why not a study where the researchers are made up of both sexes ? Your cynicism is showing.

I didn't say I would vote for them. I answered your question. The one with the most votes wins, right ? This may shock you, but I was born and raised a Democrat. Unfortunately my party has been taken over by panderers. Just to bare it all, I wanted Russ Feingold to run, but right now I would hold my nose a bit and vote for Obama.

My experience is hot sex with beautiful woman is "hotter" than hot sex with less than beautiful woman. Call me crazy.
