I would trust the magazine whose revenue depends on knowing what their female readers want over what a "journalist" really wishes those same female readers want any day.
Also, I don't think comparing Entertainment Tonight, a cotton candy outfit, to the British Tabloid Press is a fair comparison. Celebrity bashing is a blood sport over there.
What did the British tabloids do with respect to Heath Ledger?
The only people who thought McCain to be clean and above corruption are ignorant of history, especially Arizona history.
I don't know if Karl Rove is behind it or not, but there was an article in the Daily Texan, the newspaper of UT Austin, written by a law student republican guy who was exhorting his fellow travelers on the right to vote for Hillary.

I hope it does soon.
Have fun on 6th.
It's not like Gore won, did he? Wasted vote.
You can judge me for how I may have voted, but in the end it says more about you than it does about me, with your elitist tongue-clicking.
How you can even credibly claim to know whether any one of your readers personally wasted their votes and got Bush elected without knowing what state they might be from? That you would oversimplify it out of spite that your guy lost is unprofessional in a journalist.
I will be the first to admit that Gore has done some great things with his free time since 2000. I still say if Gore wanted my vote, he should have earned it. If the Democrats want our votes, they should earn them. Hillary isn't entitled to a damn thing and she sure didn't earn anything either.
"If I had known I could have voted for the war and still gotten elected, I never would have pretended to support it."
That SNL quote sums it up. Sometimes when you're making ethical decisions, the best course is to do what is right. That way, if unforeseen events occur, you can at least know you've stuck to your principles. Too bad Hillary won't enjoy the thrill of victory or the comfort of being ethical.
Ahh Gary Gygax, whatever did people who lived in their parents' basement do prior to your ingenious invention?
May he ascend to the outer plane of his choosing before Demogorgon even knows he's left us.
I say screw the Democrats in Florida and Michigan. Their own leaders made the bed they're sleeping in. Their not being seated is a natural consequence of their not abiding by the rules.
I don't feel bad for the Democrats of Florida or Michigan because they chose the leaders who made the poor decision to try and preempt the primaries of other states. How stupid can you be? Had they opted to go last instead of engaging in a juvenile me-first routine, their primaries would have been very important. How important do the first caucus/first primary seem today? Did they really determine anything?
Look at Texas: our primary is usually so irrelevant that nobody even remembered the whole caucus angle until a couple weeks ago. Yet, its lateness was a boon in the "importantness" department this year. Let me tell you, I was one of the last voters in precinct 266, and there were a ton of caucus people.
We should let the Democrats of Michigan and Florida feel the natural consequences of their stupidity so that the next time some idiot gets the idea to preempt the primaries of other states, they can maybe reflect on what a dumb idea it is.
I think his being fired from Metallica had a lot to do with the big egos of Ulrich and Hetfield.
Listening to that song again, and contrasting the ideas in the lyrics with the uber-commercialism of the latter day Metallica, it's easy to see how Mustaine didn't fit in.
I think it's also interesting that the snippet of voiceover at the end specifically mentions Lincoln Savings and Loan, which has quite the sordid history apart from things financial. It also mentions the fact that there was a bailout, and taxpayers had to foot the bill for the fat cats' poor decisions and criminality.
I'm sure that will become yet another parallel with the S&L period.
You dorks are only about 3 years late on the Chuck Norris phenom.
Remember girls, being a feminist means all women's choices are valid, except the ones we don't like, amirite?
Come on Glenn, Barney Frank was chastised back when the Congress actually had a functioning ethics committee: in other words, ancient history my friend.
Spitzer is the worst kind of scum: the kind who prosecutes rich people and corporations for their corruption.
How many lap dances happen without kicks to the face?
Have you ever had a lap dance from a professional stripper? Based on your description, I would guess no.
I have, and it never once involved being kicked in the face, regardless of shoe.
I think if I paid for a lap dance, and sustained injuries inflicted by the stripper that were not part of the intended outcome, I would take whatever recourse seemed appropriate.
How is this news, let alone women's news?
"old-time racial anger -- a surreal amalgam of legitimate social commentary, paranoid conspiracy theories and reflexive anti-white rhetoric"
This "perspective" disgusts me so thoroughly and is more evidence that you and yours are part of the problem.
I don't know what else to say.
It takes a bigger man to laugh at that man...
Why not praise him for being the one candidate who comes out against corporate control and US Imperialism? Probably because salon is fed by the same tributaries as the establishment democratic party.
