If animals have no rights then NO ONE has the right to SET ANY LIMIT AT ALL ON WHAT CAN BE DONE TO THEM BY ANYONE FOR ANY REASON. Since I take it as a given then very few people accept this extreme position the question only remains WHAT SPECIFIC RIGHTS do animals have, or should animals have.

it is highly debatable that this was ever widespread. Obviously the current female supremacist solution is less that ideal, at least from a male point of view, but denial of reality isn't going to produce a solution either. There is no way they CAN EVER set them because men have no innate leverage; if they make any trouble for the women (in the absence of the man having REAL power which men no longer have) she will cease to be attracted to him sexually and there will not be a relationship (even if they are living in the same house and sharing child care).

far from men getting pregnant I think it is far more likely in the future that NOBODY will. It's on the verge now of becoming like housecleaning; only people without money do it for themselves. In the future the process can probably be automated completely.

High status helps men more than women, (a woman can have only one kid a year no matter how high her status is), and low status hurts men more because any female can fine someone to knock her up but not every loser male can find a mate.
